If you're pregnant, GET THIS. Even if you don't think you need it.
(Writing under husband's account.)Get this thing, pregnant ladies and ladies that need V support. EVEN IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU NEED IT, there's a chance it will help you recover post-pregnancy when your crotch is definitely sore and it might even help you in future pregnancies.First pregnancy, I definitely felt some crotch pressure towards the end which I took as just a normal thing (and it probably is). However, I wish I had gotten this just to support my hardworking body back then because there's a chance it could have been a bit of preventative medicine - second pregnancy I have vulvar vericose veins, which is not pretty. Luckily they don't bother me too much, but it is pretty scary how stressed out my body is. I don't want them to spread any more so I took a chance on the V2. Definitely a good investment, and one I wish I made sooner! The V2 looks a little scary, but it feels totally fine. And the bonus is it helps hold up my constantly slipping compression leggings/tights/hose - no matter how many sizes I try, those darn things never stay up (am I right, ladies??). You can adjust the tightness via the booty-hugging straps, which is nice.Sometimes if I'm behind in washing my tights, I'll just throw this on to at least get SOME support while I catch up to laundry. And as I mentioned, post-birth I definitely recall having some crotch issues (the bottom feels like it's fallen out, for any of you first time preggos out there), and no matter how many things you think about and get yourself during your pregnancy there are always things one doesn't realize. Getting some V support was the thing I personally didn't think about.Part of it is being a bit macho and part of it feeling like we're constantly spending money on something that is supposed to be a natural process - "I trust my body. I'm totally FINE, I don't need any mumbo jumbo gadgets" ; "Jeez, these people are getting rich off a totally normal thing. Ladies in other parts of the world have babies while they're standing in a field, and then they just get back to their farming. I'll save the money on this, I don't think I really need it.".INVEST IN YOUR BODIES, LADIES. We don't need ALL the gadgets, but a few body supports will do wonders, I promise. Even if you think you don't really need them. I wish I had this advice in my first pregnancy, which is the only reason I'm writing this review. I hope it helps! :)BODY/SIZE PARTICULARS: I was skeptical, but I ordered size MEDIUM because that's what I sized at based on the chart (42" hips). Perfect size. FYI, I'm 5'4" and about 178lbs at 5.5 months. Normally a size 14 in pants.

Provide so much relief... buy long shirts to cover the visibility of the straps through pants
I developed vulvar varicosities around week 26 of my pregnancy. They literally incapacitated me to the point that I could not stand for more than 5 minutes - I was unable to complete work around the house or function at work. When I first saw this product, I thought "no way". I tried compression stockings, spanx, and a pregnancy belly band, none of which provided me with any relief. I ended up buying the V2 Supporter out of complete desperation because of the non-stop intense, throbbing pain I was experiencing. The direct compression provided by this V2 Supporter has allowed me to be so much more functional on a daily basis, so much so that I ordered a second one to make washing and wearing more convenient. I still sit down as much as I can, but I am able to function at work and complete household chores more easily. The biggest downside to the supporter is that it is visible through pretty much all of my pants, and I am very much again VPLs (visible panty lines) to begin with. However, I have worked through that problem by buying longer maternity shirts that cover most of my backside (I am very tall and skinny at 5'10, so finding long shirts was a challenge in itself - many of the ruched shirts from Motherhood Maternity fit me well). It provides the most relief I have found out of any other product, and it helps me get through my day. So, the inconvenience of finding clothes to cover it has been worth it, compared to how the final 14 weeks of my pregnancy could have been otherwise.

Really uncomfortable; hips hurt
I purchased this reluctantly at the advice of my midwife for a varicose vein that was getting bigger. I currently weigh 137 at 29 weeks (I typically weigh about 117 and fit in size 4 jeans) and I assumed that a small would fit easily given the weight range. When I received it (about 5 lbs ago) it was so snug that it made my hips throb within 20 min. It did apply a little pressure but it applied so much more in all the areas it wasn't supposed to. Even when I tightened the straps in the back it didn't really increase the pressure where it was supposed to and instead the velcro straps were just long enough to reach the crotch area, which was irritating. It is also so unattractive as it pinches my hips and the straps run up the middle of my butt; I would never wear it out of the house. As I haven't had any pain from the vein yet, I have resorted to trying to stay off my feet at much as possible. Should it become painful and I start to feeldesperate, perhaps I would wear it for brief periods, but very dissappointing. Perhaps if I had ordered a medium it would have fit better, however I had my mom add 2 inches of elastic on each side and it still hurts. Bad sizing overall.

Works, but sizing can make a difference
Keeping this item came down to the lesser of two evils - the discomfort of my current pregnancy induced veins or wearing this contraption. To be frank, it isn't the most comfortable item to wear. It can squeeze you lower belly, dig into your sides, result in extra butt cheeks, and in my case, can chaff my inner thighs. That being said, it has turned out to be incredibly useful - I was able to walk around all day for a couple of days at Disney with only minor discomfort, which was largely caused by the supporter itself, and I'm able to walk to work (1 mile) without discomfort. I would suggest that if you are on the boarder in terms of sizing that you go up. I'm not a large person - less than 115# pre-pregancy and 5'2". When I originally ordered the supporter, I was 26 weeks and weighed #120 - so I ordered an extra-small. Terrible mistake as it was unbearably uncomfortable. I returned the item and ordered a small, which is much better. I will also note that I tried a number of other alternatives, including pregnancy compression shorts designed for pregnancy veins. This helps the best. It won't eliminate the problem, but helps make it bearable.
