SmartLabDrop Zone Science Kit

My son really wanted this toy for Christmas last year, He had seen it in a catalogue and thought it looked so cool. He is 6 and I tried to explain that the pigs won't really glide out like they look like in the picture, but he still said he wanted it. So we got it for him. He was okay with the pigs not doing anything cool- I don't know if an older child could actually use this toy like it is intended, but my son could not and was fine with that. What frustrated him was that the glider came apart every time it was used. This is certainly for a purpose- it keeps the rather large plane from breaking when it crashes. But it means your child has to put the plane back together between pretty much every throw. We have purchased a lot of gliders over the years and this just wasn't the best, especially for the price.

Considering this costs around $30-35, I was surprised that it is made of foam. In person, it looks more like a $10-15 toy. My child liked it ok, but not worth the price. Also, know that it is not a toy that can easily be played with inside. It is more of an outdoor toy due to the size of the plane and how much space is needed to fly it. I would not buy this again.

silly gag gift-- worked perfectly and was even entertaining 12 & 13 year olds!

This was ok. Difficult to use for my 7 year old. He got frustrated with it fairly quickly. Played with it once and it has been in the box since.

It was a very challenging toy. Great outdoor fun. But they tail section broke after a few days of use. Fixed it with tooth picks and glue.

Broken within 20 minutes. Not worth the money!
