X Marks The Spot

This game is deceptively simple. Make an X with your own symbols while preventing your opponents from doing the same. But, like pirates, your opponents can surprise you with a sudden strike. Since you won't know at the beginning which symbols go with which opponent, you'll have to try to figure it out while concealing your own identity for as long as possible. Once you've placed a doubloon, everyone will know, but by then you'll be ahead.There's enough luck to make the game unpredictable, and enough skill to allow a better player to win. There are plenty of dirty tricks you can use to block your opponents while trying to build your own X's to win.Games go quickly - about 15-20 minutes and speed up as players learn to plot their possible moves on other's turns. Turns come around quickly and there is little feel of waiting because you can be plotting while others are taking their turns.

This game is great! It has a new style of play for a card game, using them more like tiles where they can cover other cards up by placing a different card on top. With a build as you go play area each game is always different. I love the artwork! It was tons of fun with the family. We will definitely be playing this one again!!

This is definitely not your normal card game and has been a lot of fun around the table. We broke this out one game evening as a nice little filler and ended playing it the rest of the night! Very smooth play and awesome artwork! A nice combination of tile laying, resource management, and a little luck!

I had so much fun playing this game I didn't want to stop playing. A truly unique experience to enjoy with the entire family!
