DV526L 6-in-1 Multi-Functional Camera (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Camera is not bad for the money, first thing that that you will notice is operating instructions leave alot to be desired. That being said it seems to be a decent camera for the price with amazing battery life.I currently have a 8 gig sd card in mine which allows me to take over 2 hours worth of video with sound. Another big plus is the fact that it easily fits in your pocket and can be used as a web cam with built in mic.

had to send to daughter house in philly live in guam and won't send it here wanted it for xmas presentwanted it for a 7th grader my grandson who has a video course for school. he also has asperers autism and he was really happy with the camera used it for one day went yo use it the second day and camera would not shut offcannot send it back because with the excitement of xmas all the paper work got thrown outwhat a waste of money living here on guam as daughter is military and deployed quite often ilive off of social securtiy thought this was a nice gift to help him with studies and in my opion it suckalso he is verey responible and takes care of this things so inow he didn't break it it is defective even sent it to school to see if video teacher could figure out what was wrong nope didn't happen

My first all-digital video camera and I wanted to ease into it. Very simple and I had it mostly figured out within minutes. However, I couldn't figure out the zoom right away but it appeared to "come with zoom". Eventually disovered it, but it's ackward to use and get grainy fast. There were other, even cheaper digital video cameras from Colby that I ended up buying for work and I'm have tempted to swap. This one is cheap feeling, really no bells and whistles but for playing around capturing a few moments with the kids here and there, it'll probably be okay until it breaks.

This product was cheap and so the quality is cheap. I guess I was hoping for better quality. In daylight it takes decent video. I just need something better.

I just got this camera today and I am so happy with itPROS: great battery life, small and portable. I can slide it in my purse on go on my way and I don't have to worry about anything big and bulky. It takes great pics and Wonderful video. And you can't beat the price.CONS: volume on playback only goes to three so you can't hear playback very well. However if you upload on your pc or hook to tv sound is perfect so thats not really an issue. The zoom is not easily accessable. It is on the inside where the screen is so it is difficult to record and zoom at the same time. Other than that this camera is the shizz

We bought this camera for my son for his 10th birthday. For the price, my expectations were quite low, but I figured if he was able to get some play time out of it and learn a few things about cameras it would be worth it. I've been impressed. As long as you don't judge it outside of it's class, it's a surprisingly good camera. The first thing I noticed is how good the image looks, a combination of decent sensor and good display. When my brother-in-law saw the camera, he seriously considered it as a gift for his wife.The biggest down-side of this camera by far is the lack of any optical zoom. If you can live with that limitation, I'd say the image quality is definitely good enough even for capturing important memories and other things you might want a camcorder for. The camera is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to hold, but with no image stabilization and the light weight, video can be a bit shaky if you aren't careful.This camera has three modes: still image, video, and audio. The audo recording was a pleasant surprise because my son loves to record audio such as game music from the XBox, or himself playing the piano.Kudos Mustek for a good job with an underserved niche.

was not expecting high end video, but disappointed in playback that arrows and numbers for tracking will not go away. bottom of screen has rewind, ffwd, pause symbols constantly displayed along with tracking numbers in upper right corner when reviewing video or transferring to dvd. these should disappear when playing back recorded video. included batteries did not last long

But, it doesn't work well in low light conditions, and the zoom is electronic and not optical, so when using it, the results are grainy. It works well when using it at the widest angle for both photos and videos. Good battery life, and in combination with a 4GB SD Memory Card, is a pretty good combination to keep in the car, or handy in case something unexpected happens.
