Get the Audio... you will not regret it!!
I bought the book and the audio CD to see which one would be best to give to my mom for Christmas. I like Andy Cohen, but my mom L-O-V-E-S him... and she is a ravenous reader, so I thought the book would be something she really liked. I decided to listen to the audio, to see if that might be a better gift than the book... and... I'm on the 3rd CD (I just opened it yesterday) and I can't wait to listen to more! I'm sure the book is entertaining, but the audio is so good because Andy adds his inflections, and after "trying" to impersonate Martha Stewart and others, he apologies for his bad impersonation (although I totally heard Martha in his "bad" impersonation) -- I love that he does the impersonations, good or bad, they totally add to his story-telling. I also feel like it's SO much easier to imagine the situation he's reading about, when it's his silly voice.. and he also giggles from time to time, totally adds to the "Andy Experience" ... I absolutely love the audio version, and sorry to say, I will be returning the book because I know my mom will enjoy the audio more.It is, as it says, totally shallow! It's totally written/read in diary style... each entry starts with the day & date. Each CD has 11 tracks and the tracks are an average of 8 minutes long... and there are 11 Cds in total. He doesn't go into extensive detail about any celebrities, or any of the situations, it totally sticks to a diary entry type style, which I really enjoyed. He gives enough information about each story so I'm able to imagine exactly what he's talking about, but then he moves onto to another story that is just as fun, and entertaining. Also, if you are a regular WWHL viewer, you will totally recall some of the shows & guests he's talking about... he's already cleared up a question I had about Terrance Howard's appearance. It's definitely a fun listen!I'm only 3 discs in, but already, Andy is one of my best friends (in my mind) and I would LOVE to spend a weekend hanging out with this guy... he knows how to have fun, Fun, FUN!!

Andy Cohen Smut
A look into Andy Cohen's mind can be a terrifying thing, and sometimes it is in his book "The Andy Cohen Diaries." Andy is a self-made celebrity, and this look into his life is proof of his egotistical shallowness that has gained a hooked audience for his show and, likely, this book. Andy - aka The Man Who Cannot Find Love - spends a bit too long in the book focused on his dog's bathroom habits, but what can be expected from a man who has based his entire career looking deeply into the piggish habits of the animal kingdom - aka The Real Housewives. Yes, this book garners four out of five stars because it was so entertainingly bad that it made me hungry for more Andy Cohen Smut.

Honest, Hilarious, Heartfelt! Bravo, Andy! Please Publish Another Diary in 2015!
This book is AMAZING. Very similar to the Andy Worhol Diaries. Andy Cohen is hilarious and a witty, fun writer. He is extremely honest about everything he experienced in 2014 including behind the scenes info from Housewives shows and reunions, Watch What Happens Live guests, and much more. You really get a sense of the ins and outs of reality tv, live interviews and behind the scenes production. I am a big fan of the RHOBH, RHONJ and WWHL, but even my husband who hates reality tv finds this book hilarious. Each day of his life is about a half page, which makes for an easy read.Andy talks about so many different celebrities and famous people, so no matter how old you are, your taste in tv, music and movies, there's bound to be a story about someone you love in this book. I would also highly recommend this book for dog lovers, especially people that adopt. Andy chronicles his experience in adopting his dog Wacha in an honest, sentimental way that any dog owner can relate to.If you liked his first book (Most Talkative), you'll love the Andy Cohen Diaries! I can only hope there will be a second Diary about his experiences in 2015.

really wanted to love this book because I enjoyed and gave five stars ...
I really, really wanted to love this book because I enjoyed and gave five stars to "Most Talkative", plus I love Andy Cohen and all things Bravo, WWHL, RH-Anywhere, etc. First what I loved: Being a born and raised New Yorker and having worked in the the TV business (Letterman, GMA) I felt transported back to those TV studios, post-show bars and restaurants, people and places (Hamptons, 30 Rock, West Village, rude bodega workers, weirdos in dog parks, small bookstore closings). There were many funny diary entries and I was LOL so hard that I'm sure the various people around me wanted to me shut up. While I personally wouldn't want to go out that much (or drink that much) I loved living vicariously through Andy. His life seems so fun, and he seems so funny and nice and cool. What I didn't like about the book was reading the repetitiveness of Andy's day to day life: walk the dog, (Wacha seems awesome but there was a little too much of him in the book - sorry Wacha!), gym Nynj, massage (I'm jealous but didn't need to keep reading about them). There was a lot of name dropping and initial dropping which was a bit annoying but I guess Andy just has lots of friends and felt the need to include them in each entry. I think there could have been a way to streamline the clutter while still being funny and interesting. I got to entries that just lost me and I had a hard time getting back into it. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone that loves Bravo, Andy, and his show. The good thing about this book is it is skim-able and you won't miss much.

his love of family and the fact he has the same ...
Andy offers us an insight to the personal behind the professional.Maybe the reason he produces such entertaining TV with worldwide audience appeal is his genuine interest in others, his love of family and the fact he has the same daily battles as 'ordinary' viewers makes this a comforting yet highly entertaining and fabulous read. Andy mixes his highly fabulous glamourus job with his entertaining daily diary which equals a scrumptious read even Noel Coward would approve x

like Seinfeld, a book about nothing but highly entertaining
Spend a year in the very charmed life of man-child Andy Cohen who seems to know everybody who is anybody. His musings on days spent with an unending array of celebrities -everyone from Liam Neeson to Madonna- is like hanging out with the coolest entourage ever. With his trusty dog Wacha by his side, Cohen's self deprecating humour, comical angst and deep love for his rescued pet makes him immensely likeable and this book a super easy read.

Riveting
I love Andy Cohen and really enjoyed this book even though I did not have a clue whom most of the celebrities were! A cast list with surnames and job positions/TV shows would have been useful.
