Perfect for my preschoolers
Preschool teacher here. I've tried all the dollar store items and other brands - they fall apart or break easily. I've hesitated buying these because quite frankly I really only needed 4 tops at a time. I finally gave in this year and found these to be perfect for my 3 year olds. So, with all the different colors, I will change them seasonally and they will think they are new materials to use. My only issue is it doesn't open wide enough for larger items, like acorns.

Fab
Several of my first graders struggle with holding a pencil. They cannot grip it properly or tire out faster than expected. From conversations with their parents throughout the year I've noticed something in common: they use phones/tablets at home. You don't handle a phone/tablet the same way you hold a pencil. I am not 100% certain their woes come from almost all tech every day or what. But I've purchased these gator tweezers to help combat/strengthen their hands. These tweezers are firm and work out your hand -- I tested them out on myself. I plan on using these a lot in math activities in the afternoon. Our afternoons go by quick and the lessons are even shorter so this feels most appropriate as to not wear out their hands completely. They come in purple, red, orange, yellow, blue and green -- the essential colors. They're solid colors. One of the review said that they didn't pick up things/tweeze correctly. I was worried about that so I checked it the moment they came in. They do pick up items. I picked up this pattern block from a bucket and carried it over to my couch.I'll add more information when they're implemented into my lessons if that lasts long. But so far they're looking good.

Great deal for a great product
I bought this multi-pack for a "busy bag" swap at my church. One of the items I was making needed kid-friendly tweezers and these seemed like a good bargain. I am so happy with them! The tweezers are easily handled by small hands and so far seem durable and well-made. I have 3 daughters and while my 4 year old works these with ease, the 2 year old isn't nearly as capable (haven't tried them with my 4 month old yet!). Obviously the issue is the age of the child and not a product deficiency. I'm so glad the 2 year old has them to practice with. Also, (bonus) the tweezers are super cute.

Great for developing fine motor skills
I used these alligator pinchers for a preschooler project to help with their fine motor skills. They had a race to pick up pompom balls with the pinchers and run and drop them in an ice cube tray. They LOVED it.My little girl spends a lot of time just doing free play with these, stacking them like blocks, lining them up with colors, etc.A great buy for home or for a group of preschoolers!

Great for helping toddlers with their grasp. A little hard at first but will continue to get easier

A novel way for kids to grab more things!!!!
Well, lets face it, kids love to grab things!! This just gives them a novel way to grab things! I have three kids from 4 on down and they all love these things. They are bright colors, they are interesting shapes, and hey....did I mention they grab things!! My kids love exploring how to grab onto things with these. They fit in their little paws well and there are enough of them with repeat colors that they don't fight over them. The also link them together in a chain and have a good time with that. You can watch their little minds shifting gears trying to figure out what/how to pick up other toys etc.. with these. Good clean fun.

Excellent for toddlers
I've used these before and they are great for little hands. They don't scare me if someone in my class was to get-up from the activity with a pair in their hands. They are a little short and not sharp at all.

They work!
If the item you're trying to grab is a little bigger you might need to stretch the grabbers a little. It doesn't work for bigger items, we have some plastic rainbow counting bears and it does not work for them. I just wish I could have bought a smaller pack because we only needed one.
