Good game collection.
Reviewed the power games played by Geller. Good context notes accompany games.

UPDATE!! Repackaged version of The Application of Chess Theory
The 3 stars is a mixed rating. If you don't have The Application of Chess Theory, it's a good book, and worth picking up if you're interested in Geller (or, among other things, the King's Indian or Sicilian Defenses). One of the few players to have a lifetime plus score against Fischer, and one of the top players in the world for more than two decades. He also had a plus score against Botvinnik, Smyslov, and Petrosian. Had a plus score in all of his games against world champions.UPDATE: My original review was too hasty; it's not a *complete* retread. I think you'd have to be a serious Geller freak to really want both, though. Again, recommended if you don't have The Application of Chess Theory, or if dropping 30 or 40 bucks is no skin off your nose. Otherwise, the original will still probably do you just fine.BUT...if you have The Application of Chess Theory, this is basically a reprint with a new title (SLEAZY!) Don't lay out $37 for this book and think you're getting a new Geller book - you won't be!!

5 thumbs up
Great book on the legend Yefim Geller, yes it is similar to the application of chess theory but if ur serious player this is a great addition to anyone serious about improving ur chess game ,even if ur rating is on the low side of 1200 it’s a must to study from the classics and it don’t get any better then geller,I recommend to beginners who want to learn from the classics to study Alekhine,Rubinstein,Bronstein and of course Geller who I feel is the best player never to become champion..,also u can learn so much about openings in this book an it is greatly annotated
