No electronics included.
Despite the Tamiya website saying this kit includes a motor and an ESC, the only thing included in my kit was the motor.Sadly most reviews also include that they are missing electronics.One star for falsely advertising included electronics.

No CVA Shocks, ESC, or Torque-Tuned Motor from Japan
A nice kit, but if it's shipping from japan like mine did, do not expect to receive the upgraded CVA shocks, torque tuned motor, or the electronic speed control. Those should be included in a kit purchased and marketed in the united states, but here you get the friction shocks, Tamiya's stock silver-can motor, and no ESC. I recommend you spend the extra 40usd and go with a state-side retailer. However, if you planned on upgrading all those items anyway, save your money and pick up this kit.
