Does the job if you have the skill.....
I have to agree with Jennifer on the instructions issue. The only "valve body instructions included" (per the item description) I received was a one page diagram showing the correct check ball locations. Otherwise you are on your own, but there is enough info on the 'net to help you through it assuming you are pretty capable in the auto mechanics department (a proper service manual would be best). And you will need to acquire an in/lb torque wrench to do the job properly.The item itself seems to be high quality and has apparently fixed my truck's problem, and I have tested it thoroughly to try to duplicate the symptom. That being said, there are original parts that are removed and then reinstalled in the process of installing the replacement valve body, and these components could be the source of problems as well. Bottom line-----the automatic transmission is a very complex mechanism, so you need to have a pretty good idea of what you are doing in such an undertaking.

Great quality
I was a bit hesitant about buying this on Amazon. However, it was a pretty good deal. The only issue we’re the A and B lockup solenoids, they were broken but no worries as I had brand new ones to install anyway. TCC solenoid looks to be genuine GM and so does solenoid A, B is likely a Chinese made due to its harness being loose fitting and came apart when I removed it to replace with Gm OEM. Otherwise, great product and shipping.

4l80e perfect fit, and performance
Perfect fit, came with all solenoids and gasket. I used a rubber style gasket instead of cork/paper one that came with tho. Instructions could be better, but previous experience will help anyone thru.

Three times rebuilding this trans. didn't look at the VB because it was new. Turns out it was junk.
