Hugo Mobility 731-492 Adjustable Folding Cane with Reflective Strap, Smoke

This is my 3rd cane of this same Hugo style. I am only 5’1” tall, and the shortest setting works for me, unlike others that don’t get short enough. Great quality and COMFORTABLE handle. I have 3 others in different brands, that I rarely use.

This cane is great. I've bought 3 over the past 15 years, only because the first two were stolen out of my car. Very sturdy, folds up neatly with a hard plastic sheath. Great rubber/plastic handle. Adjustable for height. Love it!

The handle is very comfortable, soft and wide so it fits the whole palm of your hand instead of just a strip down the middle. It causes the weight to be distributed evenly without palm tenderness when you have to use the cane for support. I added the Hugo quad pod to this cane and really like the stability it gives. That addition does make it a bit awkward to fold up, but for the stability, it is great. My short grandma, under 5', had me order one for her in rose and she says the lowest setting is perfect for her and the rose is a beautiful color. She had tried mine out and it's the first cane she's ever really liked. I got the smoke color so that it will go with more outfits. Both of us love our canes.

Really practical for travelling ! Sturdy and is to open.

Light, a little work to fold but it kept me steady after a knee injury. I used the clip it came with to hold it together when folded. You will have to get a small bag to store as it does not come with one. Overall it was a good purchase.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews. The advertising is only about 3 inches from the top; the way other reviewers complained, I thought it would be down the first 12 inches or so. Adjustment is easy. Easy to take apart and put up. Sturdy enough for me and I'm on the large side. Mine came with a plastic ring that fits well and keeps the cane folded up once collapsed. I see other reviewers said they did not receive anything. Overall, I like it. It will do well if I need it on a vacation coming up.

Having endured two knee surgeries over the years, I've tried various folding canes and this is by far the strongest. most stable and most comfortable. Other brands have been squeaky and wobbly, are harder to hold and hit the ground with a jolt. This cane has superior shock absorption due to the comfortable ergonomic handle and the superior traction of the tip. The drawbacks are that the color choices are better suited for ice cream (amber? rose? cocoa?) and the logo is conspicuously large. But you'll get over the cosmetic qualms once you use it and experience the greater comfort and security.

Cane is stable and folds up nicely. Can be kept in the folded position either with its rigid plastic bracket (long-term), or briefly, using the elastic loop that is snapped onto the end of the strap. I also got a spare cane tip (Hugo 3/4" ultra-grip tip, 731-001) as an Amazon add-on item, after seeing that others had mentioned the cane tips wore down eventually. Grip is comfortable, and long enough for good support.
