Amtech H2175 Mortar Pointing and Grouting Gun Set

This is a well made piece of equipment for the diyer. I don't think it would stand up to professional or heavy use. It comes with various nozzles to use for both mortar or any other pointing material. I would definitely recommend using plasticiser when pointing with mortar to help it flow easily.

Didn’t work very well was no good for the job required

Have not tried this for pointing but have used it for a whole bunch of other stuff. (Joining & jointing plasterboards. self levelling with a tube when in a tight spot. quick way to grout. the other half even used it for her latex modelling moulds.very handy piece of kit.

Bought product to repoint part of houseGun worked great for the first few minutes then plunger worked loose nozzle clogged and mortar would not flow freeTried four different mortar mixes all with additives, and different ‘wetness’ same result each timeThe plastic disc in the plunger is more than a tight fit and have also added lubricant each time as the metal tube had it at both endsThe plastic screw on disc that secures the handle can be difficult to fit and at present it is stuck fastAll things considered an apparent waste of money
