Good Price, Great Warranty, As Advertised
Drive arrived in a timely manner and properly packaged. This drive is "like new" in that is isn't formatted. I already knew how to do such. If you don't, they include a card to walk Windows users through it. (Simple process that takes only a couple of minutes). NOT needed if you are putting it into a computer and will be putting a new Operating System on it.They do reset the statistical data. A test using Hard Drive Engine app showed zero hours of run-time and zero errors or problems. Of course, it should have been checked for no errors or bad partitions. While I was surprised at the reset on the time of use hours, the fact that it comes with a 5 year warranty nullified those concerns.Considering that the general life of a hard drive (under regular, daily, heavy use) is around 5 years, and considering that for the sake of reliability, it is recommended that you change out a drive with 5 years worth of hours on it (48800 hours), the fact that you get a 5 year warranty is more than generous. To put it in perspective, it replaced a refurb 4TB drive which came with a 2 year warranty, and lasted 3 years under some pretty good use.

Still going after almost a year
I had reservations about buying a refurbished HDD, especially one of this size for so cheap. But here we are almost a year later without any issues. I check it regularly with CrystalDiskInfo and still reads healthy.

Useful
Needed more storage not just physical storage. I don’t wanna keep deleting my stuff especially after I worked so hard on it all. But at the same I couldn’t afford one of those heavy duty kind of drives This was a very good solution to my problem. I’m definitely getting more of these

Not what I expected
I was honestly shocked at how well this hard drive worked for the price and warranty. I expected it to be loud and have issues right away but it's dead silent and after about 2 months of using it it still has no error rates or noticable issues according to CrystalDiskInfo. The only bummer is that all previous hard drive info is whiped. I understand why it was whiped but I wish I knew how long it had been running before I got it. But since there's a 5 year warranty I'm definitely willing to overlook and get over it.$40 to get 4TB AND a 5 year warranty, you aren't going to find a better deal.

Work great
Bought 3 of these, all arrived in good shape and well packaged. Not brand spanking new, but not dusty or anything. Fired right up in TrueNAS and passed SMART tests with flying colors. For the price I could get two of these for the price of 1 new comparable enterprise drive so it’s a no-brainer for a low risk deployment (in this case my janky media server). Whether it’s the right choice for you will depend on your application. I would definitely buy more if I had the need.

I'm a little amazed
This review is for the refurbished drive. I use it as a jump drive that I "hot swap". This is a very quiet HDD; I operate it, exposed, on my desk, within arms reach and can barely notice it. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is the quietest HDD I own. I'm impressed, especially for the price.

At this point GoHarddrive owes me for therapy
Ordering these drives has been an absolute nightmare and I've lost all faith in amazon. I initially ordered two drives on February 9th for a time-sensitive project. I have a failing hard drive that needs to have data transferred. They were sent on the same day, but somehow one arrived and the other did not. It took days of course for amazon to declare it wasn't coming and I could get a refund, despite me seeing on tracking that my package had only been miles away when it got lost, so obviously it wasn't coming.I wanted to order specifically from the GoHarddrive seller because I've ordered from them in the past, felt they were reliable and appreciate the 5 year warranty. So when I go to reorder, I see they're sold out and I only have the option of other sellers. So to be safe (HAHA) I waited for GoHarddrive to get more in stock. Once they did, I immediately ordered. It took days for them to even ship, so I finally received the drive on the 25. This is over two weeks later from my original order.I'm excited, I can finally drive to save the data on my failing drive, precious data including old photos and videos. I had ordered an enclosure to use with this and I tried to put it together and I couldn't insert the hard drive. I tried and tried, got completely stressed out before realizing it wasn't the right type of hard drive. Instead of SATA, it's SAS. I clearly ordered SATA, evidenced by this listening and screencaps of my order. At this point, I'm absolutely livid. This drive is clearly marked and it does not say SATA, how does someone make this mistake? So I chat amazon hoping for some sort of resolution to make up for the level of stress this has caused me. What do I get? I get to keep the damn drive I didn't order, so I have an ugly paperweight since enclosures for SAS drives are something like $200+ on amazon. They also put in an order for a new drive, hopefully the requested SATA drive. When it's due to be here? March 6-7, nearly a MONTH from my original order. And at this point, I don't even have faith it's going to be the right drive or actually arrive. No credit for my troubles and then a wonderful message at the end of the chat, telling me amazon has the best world class customer service in the world.Sorry amazon, but hardly. Apple and Chewy, who handle freaking pet stuff, can run circles around you. What a disappoint, but I guess thank you for pushing me further away from continually lining Bezos' pockets.
