Advanced English Grammar for ESL Learners (Practice Makes Perfect)

I teach ESL to Spanish speaking students. I've gone through many different ESL books trying to find the best tool. In my experience, I've found the Practice Makes Perfect books to be among my favorites. They're written in a workbook format and include many sentence writing exercises. I use them all for my students.

Great book series for learning English grammar. Easy to understand and well written. You'd have to be a near moron to not be able to figure out the explanations and examples. These books are much more effective if you have someone who understands English grammar therefore these make for an excellent learning tool.

For advanced students of English, this book is excellent to shape your skills. It brings detailed explanation about some of the most difficult subjects in English. The explanations are clear and short followed by exercises. However, I found some terms a little difficult. In spite of that, it is a great book.

English is seriously so hard. This book is probably good for advanced learners, I'm really not sure; it's too hard for me. That being said, the Practice Makes Perfect series is always a good idea, so I wholeheartedly recommend this.

Gift for a Mexican Teenager who was getting English GED. He thanked me and said it helped him because it was a gift and he was not accustomed to gifts. He would have said a bath mat was a wonderful gift. (hope this meets the word requirement)

This is an excellent review of English Grammar. Because we really don't have a national standard for English grammar, this will serve as a great review of the major common usage rules.

I will use this as a guideline for my ESOL clients. You can never have too much practice material. The price was perfect.

I thought it was very challenging for me but it was't right. I enjoy studying with this book so much because it explains in detail and doesn't make me bored.Variety of example sentences such as in exercise will help with improving your vocabularies and expressions.

Approccio di vari temi grammaticali che, potenzialmente, possono risultare critici anche per livelli intermedi o avanzati di apprendimento della lingua. In realtà, ho trovato molte parti veramente banali che non ho considerato. Un supporto didattico di media utilità, forse più raccomandabile per coloro che sono ad un livello pre-intermediate.
