exactly what it needs to be
My whole life. Till I was maybe 18, my parents had one of these coolers. I can distinctly remember loving it for the hot water for fast ramen and coco. I don’t remember drinking cold water, like ever, but the hot water was always so convenient. Anyway, with the craziness going on with bottled water I recently got a few big filtered pitcher dispensers to give us cold water. It came quickly to my attention that even with two we were running out constantly and it takes them a while to refill and filter. So I wanted to opt into a cooler instead. A lot of coolers seem to have addons and gadgets now which seems.. pointless. All you need is for it to hold water and be cold or hot. The more things you add the more likely breaks and repairs are on an item that should be simple. I’ve got a five gallon jug on this one. It has cold and hot water controlled by separate on switches (which is genius so parents with small kids could disable the hot). And it’s that simple. Plug it in. File on the cold and hot. Give it time to reach temperature (I set mine up before going to bed and it was ready in the morning).Pros:1. Larger container than filtered pitchers are going to provide you2. Instant cold or hot water (the first thing I made was ramen :) )3. It’s stable, I was mildly worried about the weight making it off balance but that doesn’t seem the case4. The hot water having its own switch is really smart, if you’ve got inquisitive kids or pets I can see that being dangerous. This allows you to just disable that function.Cons:1. I wish the spouts were higher off the ground. They’re in easy reach of pets. But that’s just an issue with the design, not the functionality. You could easily put it on a rise of some kind.

Good machine
Excellent machine. Cold Water is cold and hot water HOT. Took about 20 to 30 minutes for water to get really cold. Makes a little noise but not that much to where you are irritated by it but I think it's only when the the machine starts doing its thing to make water cold. Then noise shuts off. Make sure you wash that piece that the gallons will fit into b4 you add water. Told my girls to do it and not too sure if they did so first couple cups of water had nasty after taste. But after that water is great , no nasty after taste since.

Lower height is great!
We original had this company's taller water dispenser. We are 80+ years old and this dispenser isn't tall. It's much easier to lift the 5 gallon jug up to this height and is a good height for someone in a wheelchair, or a cold to use as the levers are also a bit lower.

Poor quality, poor customer service
I was using for a short time, maybe the 4th time I changed the bottle and it just drained right through the machine on to the floor. I tried to work with the company to fix/replace but it was made impossible. They would only send me a file in the chat with a label that wouldn't open properly. They refused to send it any other way. Not that I could figure out how to box up that large oddly shaped machine even if I could print the label. Now I'm just going to be out the money and end up throwing this in the dumpster where it belongs.

Shorter than the measurements stated
So far so good. I works good. Hot water is hot and cold water is cold. Though it's awful low to the ground compared to what we're used to. For the money, it ain't bad. I would recommend if you're not rich enough to buy one the fancy $300 ones. I hope it lasts for a good long time. Maybe we'll find a block of wood to prop it up a few inches before we have back issues bending down to get water. Being everyone in the house is over 6 feet tall, this may be a top priority.

Fewer plastic bottles in the landfill
I like knowing less plastic is ending up in landfills or recycled waste. Plus always hot ot cold water at my disposal.
