Sleek, sturdy, and reasonably priced product with a 1080 camera that’s a good entry level drone.
Never having flown a drone, I initially bought another larger one from different manufacturer, not realizing it was a little advanced for beginners. I was a little intimated, and when I couldn’t get the drone to sync with the controller I returned it. I searched for a smaller “beginner” drone and liked the product description, price, and features of the Holy Stone HS160 Pro Foldable. It’s a very good, sturdy, user-friendly product that has a very cool design as well. Although I crashed it a few times while learning how to fly it, the folding arms prevented any major damage. I find it a little light to fly in breezy conditions and want more altitude, but after my experience with the HS160 I’ve ordered an HS720 and am looking forward to its delivery. I’m very satisfied with the HS160 Pro Foldable as my first drone experience.

It flew away
I got one good flight out of it and didn't even crash it. I live in an open area not many trees or obstacles around so it's kinda hard to crash even for a beginner. However, I have been flying drones for a few years now and it is my favorite hobby. So I'm no beginner. But the second time I was gonna fly it, (I use my phone and the app because it is so much easier to use than the controller) and there was no damage to the unit at all and it just flies up and takes a dip to the right and I tried to keep up with it and follow it on my screen but after a few seconds I lost signal and it was gone. No wind at all. No rain. It was a totally clear day. I could understand if it had been windy or anything but this was a complete mechanical malfunction on the drones part. Amazon doesn't really take kindly to customers saying they can't return something because "it flew away" so if you're just starting to fly drones I don't recommend this one, because this is the only drone I have ever lost and this one just disappeared. So I wouldn't suggest spending the money because you may lose it.

Easy to operate!
Love that it is great for beginners. However, the battery life SUCKS!

Suitable for All
This was a birthday gift for an 8 year old that was wanting a "camera drone." My concerns were I didn't want to buy something that was more a toy that didn't work very well (we've had those), but I also didn't want to get something too extreme in the event he immediately crashed and burned!I have never owned a drone before and there are thousands to sort through. In the end, I leaned toward Holy Stone due to countless reviews I found that spoke highly of their customer service and the fact they provided instructions in clear English. Like some have mentioned, you need exceptional eyesight to read the instructions provided so I planned ahead and downloaded the instructions from the Holy Stone website. I haven't had to contact their customer service yet, so...We have had the drone in operation for about two weeks now and have had no issues with it. Everyone from the birthday boy to Grandpa has been able to fly it without any real difficulty. As you might imagine with beginners, there have been several crashes and so far it has held up without issue. One crash sent a propeller flying off, but we simply reinstalled and were back to flying without issue. Other than that, the crashes we have had haven't left any significant visible damage to the body or propeller arms. There isn't much to the construction of the drone, but what there is seems solid. I like the audible "click" you get when you unfold the propeller arms letting you know they are fully extended and in place. The drone folds up easily and is convenient for storage and transport.I have flown the drone using both the remote and the app on my phone. While I like the "feel" of the controller better, I thought the controls through the app worked better than I anticipated. I do wish the clip on the controller for your phone was a little bigger - I have an iPhone Xr with what I consider a normal case and had to take the case off to mount the phone onto the controller. We have flown the drone both indoors and outdoors. While you can certainly fly indoors, I would recommend flying outdoors in open areas; at least initially while learning. The drone can have a little "drift" at times and you can run out of space quickly indoors. Also, it is very easy for young flyers or novice adults to accidentally over-correct movements indoors. The batteries are simple to install and charge. I haven't officially timed the flight time we are getting, but it seems like the advertised 10 minutes is accurate? It comes with two batteries, which I think is an absolute minimum necessity. When learning, you just get comfortable about the time the first battery drains! Some charging connectors on products seem "flimsy," but these seem well constructed.Connecting the drone to your phone to view the camera feed is a simple process and has worked every time. I haven't tested the range, but you won't have any problems losing connections when flying around your yard or house. We have played with the camera a bit - the pictures are fun. You aren't going to win a grammy, but for learning and experimenting, I think it is perfectly fine. I haven't had a chance to experiment with video to date. The app seems simple enough and effective, but I haven't used any other drones/apps to make an informative comparison.Bottom line, I think this is a fine drone if you are looking to explore the field or provide to a younger user who may not be ready for a higher-end drone. As with all things, probably still a good idea to provide some adult supervision if providing to a younger pilot-in-training. It is more than a simple toy that won't work very well, but is straight forward and has some extra features you can experiment with before upgrading or just grow into.

Propellers all chewed up already
Haven't tried it out yet but so far I'm not thrilled that the propellers are all chewed up and three of them are no good. So now the extras are the only ones. Out updated once I try it out.

Good value for price
Good value drone for price. Directions are well written and clear, assembly is minimal. Make sure you have permissions set correctly on phone when installing the app otherwise photos and videos will not save. Receive drone with propellers installed, initially had trouble getting it off ground as propellers are directional to specific arm and out of box were not installed correctly, I ruined two propellers with crashes on initial attempts to fly. The left joystick on the drone I received sticks a bit but still works. Give it a 4 star after working out kinks but a 2 for out of box issues that were not user error. So ultimately it’s a 3 for joystick sticking and factory propeller install

Good compact drone with extra battery
This is a really good and compact drone. It has 2 batteries which will give you some extra flight time. I like the way the drone wings can fold and very compact when you take this for a camping trip etc. It looks like a toy car at first glance. The drone is stable during flight and I have little effort to control it from remote. It’s gets good connectivity with app and take good video and pictures. I have good time flying this with kids. Wish the battery could stay a little longer. Overall a good drone for the price.

Cheap and doesn’t stay in place moves without even touching controller
Bought this for my mom, came with a broken propeller and changed it which took a while to do not knowing how to do this, I asked questions bout if this hovers in place and people said it does, they lied this doesn’t hover in place the moment you go up without touching the controller it starts moving sideways quick so you have to jump on the controls so that you don’t crash. This is the second holy stone drone I buy for my mom and this is the second drone I am gonna return this is ridiculous last holy stone drone I ever buy, if you plan to teach someone new this drone isn’t the one to teach someone with no experience.
