Inclusive, eloquent, real and practical- Magic for real Witches.
And when I say ‘real witches’ I mean all those people out there who believe what they’re doing spiritually and ethically is REAL. Not folks who classify themselves as ‘real’ at other’s degradation. And that, in part, is what this beautiful book encompasses.Inclusivity.It’s practical- all the components included, all the recipes, the rituals: they’re for real people who live in this Present Day, and who need or want a tangible, magical connection to their spiritual side. No matter your practice, your self-given label, your gender-presentation, your size, your age, your religious background. And for so many people, spirituality, witchcraft, religion, fantasy, magic, imagination, whatever the heck you want to call it: comes from Nature. But what if I live in a city and don’t feel comfortable just strolling through the woods of a sketchy park alone?Green Witchcraft helps you bring the Magic of Nature INSIDE- inside your home, heart, hearth, soul, subconscious even. Because you’re not just learning about ‘magical properties’, or this or that spell formula, or ‘baneful bindings of doom. It’s immersive and inviting, organized for quick reference and deep thought at once. It’s down to earth in the most spiritual way possible.Another aspect that I love about Paige’s book, is how trustworthy her sources, her research, and how fair her presentation is.Very eloquent in a way that’s easy to read. And as I said before, it’s down to earth and modern and at the same time has that arcane ring to it that so delights the creative, imaginative mind. Her tone is that of a good friend, a teacher, a wise woman, and that ‘artsy lady next door with a million plants and a cat’....who you actually look forward to talking to happenstance when you both arrive home at once.So obviously, I L O V E this book and cannot recommend it enough no matter who you are. Be open minded and you’ll have an experience - a good rule for life anyways. I really hope that Ms. Vanderbeck writes and publishes more book in future, as I have no shadow of a doubt they will be as fantastic and helpful as this one!

Fabulous, cute, non-judgy intro to witchcraft!
As a new (less than 6 months) to witchcraft person living in the suburbs/working in a city- I thought this was a fabulous, non-judgy, easy to read book!Includes short, engaging introductions to a variety of witchy topics. I really appreciate that the lists of correspondences/stuff with magical meanings was limited to ~15 items per section and is followed by spells that could be done immediately. And those little green leaf corners? Cute AF.Would have liked to see more information on what plants are easy or hard to grow. Or some tips on how to keep your plants alive. Cause I struggle. All that said, this book inspired me to go out and buy some more plants to bring home.It already feels like they've improved the energy of our house! And the grounding practice is starting to become a regular part of my day.

Thought it was about medicinal
I thought this book would be mostly about how to use plants as medicine but it’s more just how plants can access specific energies in your surroundings (I guess). It is a practical guide to “witch” stuff (but offers very few spells—mainly just tells you a plant can be used in a spell). I only recommend this book to those more interested in Wicca. This book was disappointing. It covered a wide variety of plants, but offered repetitive information (and not even a page per plant—so not detailed as I had hoped).

Great for beginners but advanced green witches may love too!
First off, this book is lovely. I adore the crisp white pages with a peekaboo of green in the corners, the illustrations at the beginning of chapters and the little bursts of more in depth info pages made in different hues to have them stand out. The book was also a breeze to read through with the larger clear print and easygoing writing style as well. I read it start to finish it in about two hours (I’m a quick reader however). I know from the authors podcast that she’s very friendly to a wide variety of practitioners and any “level” they believe themselves to be at. She makes recommendations on books and the like to learn further if one so wishes on her show as well. This book was very similar to the work we know and love from Paige. It was very beginner friendly for anyone dipping their toes in and it made an effort to be inclusive as well as understanding of varying life circumstances. If I met someone knew to green witchery this is one book I would suggest now. I’ve been practicing for so long and I still found useful tidbits and nice reminders. It was a pleasure to read through. As a note, after seeing some reviews of others not finding the work in depth enough; there is a nice recommendations section IN her book if you were looking for more. This isn’t a deep dive kind of book but rather a nice easy sampler of techniques, correspondences, suggestions, uplifting and encouraging messages and a quick introduction into the world of green witchery. 🌿

I love this!
I'm pretty much a novice to this subject (just some vague understanding) and this is the perfect, simple, easy explained book for someone just wanting a basic grasp on all of it. I LOVE it. It's relevant, contemporary, and it doesn't get weird. It makes you feel completely normal to be interested in it. I'm not sorry I bought it at all, and I totally recommend!

Glad I bought this
I'm loving this book so far. Paige does a great job of laying out the book and of explaining things. I feel like I've already learned a lot. I hope she writes more books in the future.

Great Starter Guide
I read this book as a refresher and because it caught my interest. I am an experienced hedgewitch, but it's always nice to update and check knowledge.I actually ended up discovering a couple of things which were new to me.This is a fab starter's guide to those starting out on their witchy path. And makes it easily accessible to everyone, even those living in the city.Informative - clear info. And there's a few starter spells too.I like the sections - you can easily flick to the bits you need. And each has a practical usage explanation as well as background knowledge.Definitely recommend to newbies.

Very nice
Great for potions with herbs and the likes. Some beautiful illustrations inside. Very clear and concise instruction. It did arrive a little beat up in one corner, but as it came in a box full of other items, I'm not prepared to make an issue of it. Would recommend.
