Number one seller in the world
That's a tall order to live up to for a cookie. I haven't tried other Stroopwafels, but I have to agree with the Dutch sales woman's assessment of this delightful treat: These are the best ones they have. There were others on her shelf in her little shop, but these, she said use "100% butter!" the others use varying percentages of butter to shortening ratios. For a special treat, use them as a cover for your hot tea or coffee, it softens the caramel center, and they are especially more delicious. This brand of Stroopwafel is too small for the larger American coffee mugs, but they fit nicely on a standard tea cup. They are perfect for that little "something sweet" with a relaxing cup of tea or hot cup of coffee. The texture is crisp and chewy at the same time. The taste is light and sweet, and the buttery finish is savory. Having these with tea and company is more of an experience than just an ordinary, plain old snack. They are elegantly simple, and actually memorable. We got our first package from a little Dutch shop in Helen, GA one Sunday afternoon. When they were gone, the memory was rich enough that I had to look for them here on Amazon where we ordered more for entertaining through the Holidays.

Stroop Waffles!!!
Saw an episode of “The Great British Baking Show” and they had the contestants try to make strop waffles. It intrigued me, and did a search on them. Found out I could order them on Amazon, so I did just that. Although they weren’t as crisp on the show the flavor was outstanding. They really nailed the caramel. Good buy, but if you’re not into sweet things for breakfast you might not want to buy these. If you are into carbs in the morning then you’re in for a treat. Worth the money!

Good but not what I had before...
I ordered these because we recently were on a trip and the flight we were on offered them (individually wrapped) as a snack. They were delicious!! So I ordered them online -- exact same brand. They are very tasty but they do not seem as soft and fresh as the ones we had on our flights. I tried to find an expiration date which looks like they "might" have expired a year ago (3/2019) but I really can not be sure I'm reading the tag correctly. They are still soft and carmelly if they are placed over a mug of steaming hot tea....but I just feel they weren't fresh.

These are the real deal !
Our friends from The Netherlands brought us some Stroopwafels and got us "hooked" on them. Thanks to Amazon we can continue to enjoy these Dutch treats !

Very good, but not up to par with fresh
I almost feel bad about knocking an online product for not being a fresh from bakery product, but it it something I can't help but notice in the back of my head. I have shared these people people who have never had fresh and like them, but either way, they are very good. No idea why I can't find these delicious bits of awesome in the states, but alas, here they are.

These stroupwaffles are delicious and unique cookie.
The flavor of butter and caramel is so good. The crispness of the waffle enhances this cookie.I love to set one on top of my coffee to melt the caramel! One of my favorite cookies!

Crushed goods
Friend bought stroopwafels from Amsterdam and I fell in love.Decided to buy 2 orders of these for the holidays, for myself and as gifts. What a horrible purchase1) They did not taste as good as the one's from Europe even though it's made in Holland as the wrapper says. Not enough of the cookie part. I felt like I was eating caramel candy shaped like a cookie.2) Wow who packs these things? The 20 stroopwafels doesn't even fit in the box they give you. The box was way too small. They were squished, crushed, broken. I was too embarassed to give them as gifts. Put them in a bigger box. Don't force then in!3) The package says best before date, but there was no legible expiration date to be found. Thanks for ruining my 2nd experience with stroopwafels
