Hard to beat the features for the price.
I ordered the VR01 goggles as part of my entry into FPV flying of RC airplanes. The features for the price point on these is nice, particularly the digital record function. The goggles lock onto the TX frequency quickly and reliably, and the image on the screen amply clear for even my old eyes. I did order a set of after-market antennas to replace the stock ones, which improved the reception noticeably. The digital record resolution is not the highest quality, but that balances out in being able to record a decent amount on the 32 Gb micro SD card that the goggles will accommodate. At this time, I may have the only goggles at the flying field that actually have a record function, despite the other goggles being higher price point units. It's nice being able to review the flight afterwards, and noticing details that I might have missed while paying attention to flying instead of sight-seeing.As far as drawbacks, the white plastic is not the best for blocking exterior light, and the hook 'n' loop on the straps is not as secure as I would like. That said, neither issue has created any actual problems during use. As mentioned, the stock antennas are adequate, but a set with a omnidirectional mushroom and a directional paddle antenna resulted in noticeable improvement in reception. The set I ordered was only around $17 US, and installed without the need of any additional adapters.Seasoned, experienced FPV pilots would likely gravitate towards higher-end goggles, but for the novice just starting to dip their toes into the sport, and still unsure if they're ready to drop the cash for the higher end equipment, the BetaFPV VR01 goggles are a great option.

Best starter goggle you could ask for.
Signal with some cheap addon antennas is great the interface is simple and effective. Also no issues with focusing on the screen (glasses wearer - near sighted) without my glasses on. The battery life is good and the picture quality is great. only reason I'm docking one star is on breakup sometimes you get some blue screen and its hard to recover after a big blue flash in the eyes. Would buy for any starter!

Could be better
Battery will drain even when off and even at full charge will drop down to half in a couple minutes. I leave mine plugged into a usb battery bank at all times. The SD card slot is positioned such that it is almost impossible to remove the card without tweezers.

Doesnt 90% of the time
Goggles work work for 1 second before jumping to a black screen or having streaking lines across the screen. I know itd the goggles as my fatshark will connect fine and have no connection issues while these cant get any signal after triple checking the frequency is correct. Unusable for flying, and ended up being a pretty frusterating experience

Good until you can upgrade to some premium goggles!
Great for beginners. The one thing I dislike is the dvr playback. It's show a lot of break up but while flying in recording it's not breaking up like that. But still good to have until you can afford some premium goggles until then always upgrade from the stock antennas they give you with the goggles.
