Works Great!
The media could not be loaded. I would recommend. Fitment was good, quality is good. Exhaust diameter is exactly as OEM on my Xterra Pro4X. The only thing I would have liked was for this kit to come with hardware as well (screws and nuts for catalytic converter flanges). I used the old hardware so not a big issue. Overall, very pleased with the install, quality, and sound.

Easy perfect direct fit, maybe louder than I'd like.
So... It was a direct fit on my 2006 Xterra After I got the old siezed together exhaust out, it went in easy.BUT like many said this is a louder exhaust. There are reviews that say "badass" and doesn't drone, but this thing is loud. There is a difference between a good badass sound or loud. This is just loud. I'd guess because the muffler is indeed smaller body overall than the old system, so less dampening materials inside.I like the easy and quality construction, but I don't know if I'll keep it due to noise. I like the tone, just want it quieter.

2012 nissan xterra pro4x
UPDATE/// After about 1000 miles put throught the new exhaust, it has risen my MPG to 20+ in town and about 26 or so on the interstate. Very nice increase in power and presence. A steal if you can get it for the price it is now, won't find better!amazing upgrade. much better and stronger. makes my X roar! install is a breeze, did it myself with a friends help, some parts can be tricky to install and maneuver through and over the axel and surrounding hardware. unless you have a car lift. mine was done on the ground. the noise does not drone the cab at all. once your RPMs settle down it's just like the stock exhaust.heads up: I completely removed the rubber dampeners for an easier install process. also, with my xterra, the flanges on the y-pipe to the catalytic converters DID NOT match up when I mocked the exhaust into place with the bolts, hangars, dampeners only hand tight. it had me worried that it wouldn't fit properly, however after it was all tightened and secure, everything matched up, seals were sealed and the clamps kept it all tight. So far the performance of the exhaust is more noticeable on the side of acceleration and hill ascent, improved. major passing power. coupled with an AEM Brute airforce air cold air intake and a Throttle body spacer!!! I'll update later as other things improve, MGP.. etc. etc. Right now I'm running about 19.

Easy to install, looks good, more power, a bit loud; Updated
Long Term Update:I found u-bolts repeatedly loosened up due to vibrations, and the tail pipe would twist and contact the bumper... made lots of noise each time. I welded a short bead along the each of the joints to prevent rotation, and all has remained secure ever since. Bolts still need occasional torquing... If you don't have a welder, consider asking a muffler shop to weld the system together... probably $20-$40. Worth it!--------------------------------Update after 800+ miles:I have a rather regular driving routine, and my MPG has definitely increased between 5%-8%, which equates to an additional 30+ miles per tank, or about $6 each refill. It's significant, but any increase would be since the X is a low MPG car.--------------------------------The quality of the system seems outstanding, and everything fit perfectly (having my spare tire removed probably made things easier). It's a tad louder than I'd hoped (it drones a bit at cruising speed), but I can also feel the increased power on harder acceleration... I've had the Xterra 6 years, so my butt is rather attuned to its dynamics. I'm waiting to see increased MPG, which I hope proves real, but it's also not an expectation. We'll see...

This does not sound good on the Nissan VQ V6 engine.
I experienced a power loss when I installed this system and the system is very loud. I live in a area where it's very hilly and rolling where my transmission shifts a lot. When in a lower gear to pull a hill you can't hear the radio or talk to the person next to you very easily. If you really want to hear your exhaust note and really like the sound of a V6 this might be for you. I think this muffler would sound great on a V8 . System was very easy to install , good quality materials and everything lined up great. This system include everything you need including gaskets and clamps. I have owned other Dynomax cat back systems for Fox body mustangs and loved them , this is just not the system for my Xterra or me.

Super easy install
I got this to replace my exhaust on my 2010 Xterra, install was less than an hour and most of that was fighting some bolts on my old exhaust. This this basically fit right in place without fighting or needing to move mounts around. The sound is nice, performance is solid as for MPG or anything else its hard to say as I installed a IMS spacer in it as well. Since Ive put this on I've been on about a 5000 mile trip to the southwest and seeing anywhere from 23-25mpg average (tracked with automatic). I have a CAI, Exhaust, Throttle Body and IMS installed. Whoever owned the Xterra before me put 260/70/16 tires on it so they are smaller than stock, I'll be replacing them for 265/75/r16 in a month or so should see what the MPG would look like compared to stock X's

NOT stainless steel!
NOT stainless. No part of this kit was stsinless steel. (Except the tip.) I think this is a general listing description for many makes/models, but the one claiming to fit a 2010 Xterra is not stainless. It does however fit very well, components are all quality, and the sound is good.Update: Rusted out and fell off vehicle after about 2 years. Very expensive for such cheap quality.

Might be wrong system for xterra
This needed a lot of work to fit on my Xterra. I took it to my garage for install and they had to cut and bend this to make it fit. Hours of extra labour!

NOT STAINLESS STEEL misleading advertising
The only part on this exhaust that is stainless steel is the exhaust tip (304 stainless) and the muffler (409 stainless) the tubing is aluminized I found out this information by calling dynomax directly as the tubing had rusted through and is not covered by the lifetime warranty. The muffler also cracked, this is after 2 years of use. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra 1-200$ and get a fully stainless exhaust.
