Do not buy thisits cute and adorable once put together buthamster can escape and did several time, chewed through the plastic screws and got out several times. also leaks consistently, we had to hold it together with duct tape and keep geriatric pads under itwe had the large which seemed good initially but after 1 month of growing too small for a syrianreplaced with more expensive cage in 1 month now it is in the trash.update seller did give 50% refund on this product after bad review written which was nice but they requested that we remove reviewcheck out the qute cagevery expensive but secure, clean and pretty awesome and will likely use for long long time, best price is at the qute website

This is not a secure cage. The locking mechanism is really just the plexiglass resting on a ridge. The result ended in a dead mice. DO NOT get this cage if security from outside forces is a concern. Also the clear bands that hold it together break easily so don't plan on taking it apart to clean and be able to put it back together unless you can get a hold of some replacement clear rubber bands. Overall a poor design. It does, however, provide a great way to visualize small critters but not practical.

I really love this cage! We have two gerbils and every cage we have tried has it's weaknesses when it comes to my cat Trouble. There is plenty of room for both of them and the cat can't get a holed of them thru bars like our old cage. It was a bit annoying to peel off the paper from all the pieces but a necessary evil. It was super easy to put together too.

Initially i loved this cage. It was clear so i could see my baby hamster from all sides, but she then discovered that if she peed in the corners of the cage on top, then the door wouldn't always shut and she could then get out. Also, she has been chewing through the acrylic. Still love the item though.

Very lengthy prep, it took me well over an hour to peel all of the protective paper off of the acrylic. This habitat is not large enough to house even the smallest of rodents humanely.

As other reviews mentioned, assembling this cage was a little time-consuming but not impossible. The main reason I'm writing this review is I underestimated the intelligence of my pet rat. She's a baby so the cage was big enough for her but I've now come home twice to her asleep just outside her cage. To open the front door you lift up and it hinges at the bottom to swing down. I'm not entirely sure how my pet rat figured it out and have had to duct tape the front closed until I can get a new cage. I've rated it 4 starts because they do clearly say "hamster" cage and I don't think a hamster could figure it out.Pros:Can't throw bedding or food outside of cage (Personal problem with this last wire cage)Only need to remove 2 rubber bands to remove front cover plate to cleanCons:I have her cage on a shop towel because the seal along the bottom plate is not watertightNot rat proof

This tank is absolutely amazing when put together. My two dwarfs love it! Assembly did take some time and tearing off the protective cover was a nightmare. But once all put together, it makes a perfect home.
