AmFab Accessory Drawer for Overbed Table

I bought this to fit under the Carex Overbed Table which was bought for a relative in a nursing home so she could have the items she needs during the day handy while she was sitting up, or in her bed. It is a simple, light molded plastic drawer with plastic S-shaped drawer slides that is way too pricey for its quality. I considered returning it, but after looking for alternatives and finding none, I decided to keep it. Because of the design of the table I bought it for, and the drawer's mounting design, I had to add some aluminum plates to the bottom of the table to mount the drawer slides. This is more suited to the solid wood/particle board tables. The drawer bens are back-to-back, not side-by-side when you mount the drawer. The drawer slides out from either side of the table so that you can only access one ben at a time. I thought about modifying that configuration so that both bens could be accessed from either side of the table, but it made the pull handles hard to grab, so I mounted it like the instructions. It does what it was designed to do, is easy to clean, and my relative is happy with it.

Drawer is easy to install, but you can only use half of it, unless you turn the Overbed Table around in order to use the other half. It needs to be redesigned where you can use the entire drawer and not have it come completely off of the guides.

Good to have to keep eyeglasses, pen, paper, remote control, etc. It slides out from either side of the patient table. Just like what you get at the hospital. Super easy to install, even I could do it and I'm not handy at all.

Although the drawer did not fit the under the bed table that we purchased, it seemed like good quality and certainly would have worked had we purchased another table. Thank you.

I use an over the bed table, and needed some drawer space. This came in real handyand was easy to install.

My husband saw mine and wanted one for his table and he is completely happy.

It was very handy for my ill husbands bed side stand.

Exactly as shown. Easy to attach to the table. Pricing of the unit seemed a bit high. Shipping cost was nearly what the drawer cost. Overall however the drawer functions exactly as stated. The packaging was excellent, received with no damage at all.
