Best boat cleaner BUT wear PPE
This stuff is amazing! Use a soft bristle brush, I started off with a natural bristle like they recommended and it didn’t work that well, but once I switched to a soft nylon brush the water line started coming off in front of my eyes. In my experience it didn’t mess up my decals at all. Definitely wear some form of protective gear since the stuff is pretty harsh, but long sleeves, pants, rubber gloves, safety glasses, and a respirator made it pain free. Literally just brush it on and spray it off with a hose and you’ll take all that nasty gunk off of your boat. I could not recommend this enough.

WOW!!!! This works GREAT. I would have given 10 stars
BE AWARE: My boat is parked on my DIRT driveway. I believe Star-Brite has some kind of Acid in it. DON'T get on metal, wood or a bunch of other things. Read the instructions Ware a (good) mask and gloves!!!!!!I bought a 35-year-old Larson 18' boat. Spent 5 weeks in the shop. Lot of work done on engine and outboard. Had a hardwater mark, like it was in a mooring for a year or more. So, when I was getting some fiberglass "repair' stuff on Amazon, I saw "Star-Brite". Read the reviews thought sure for the price I'll try it.Could not be happier if I was twins. Put a spryer top on the bottle and sprayed the hard water "line" (10"high x7' long) on both sides of the boat. The hardwater mark literally ran off like WATER!!!I did have a brush like the instructions said, never used it.Best thing I bought for my boat so far!!!!!!

Works amazing.
This is definitely the best hull cleaner that i have used in the last 30 plus years of of cleaning my boats, my bottom of my boat is black from setting in the water of Sodus bay, let your boat dry for a few days then spray it on and you can watch it run off, the real tough spots jut take a brush to it.wear gloves and a mask don't get it on your skin and don't breathe it in. I have a 25 foot Thompson Fisherman it took me maybe a hour to clean the whole bottom and sides. Amazing stuff.

This stuff is CRAZY!
After five years on the Mississippi I've learned the river scum is a real beast. After some research I decided to buy this Star Brite cleaner based on the reviews.GOOD - it was ridiculously good at removing the river scum. I haven't seen this white on the boat hull in years! When they say EZ-ON EZ-OFF it is just that powerful at removing the scum.BAD - this is a very dangerous chemical! The minute I opened the box and was hit by the chemical fumes it was apparent this is not your mom's cleaning solution. It literally burned my nasal passages as some had leaked in the packaging. Thankfully it didn't get anywhere else. Probably would have melted my vinyl entryway flooring.I also researched and bought a couple of brushes knowing that this was a very strong chemical. The first brush we used melted. After several dips and scrubs we realized it was leaving more black stuff on the hull than removing river scum. That was because it was melting from the chemical. The other brush didn't melt but it was not effective. We switched to rubber gloves (luckily I had some in the boat thanks to Covid Craziness) and hand towels which got things going and we were able to clean off the river scum. And the melted brush bristles.TIPS - be prepared. Be VERY prepared. This is a commercial grade cleaner that is a very strong chemical and must be handled with utmost care. Be somewhere you can rinse often - the boat, the ground, your skin. I would suspect this would kill everything in your yard if you were on the driveway. Lots of ventilation! Even though we were on a parking lot in the marina the fumes are super crazy. You don't want to be breathing this stuff. And finally, be prepared to rinse rinse rinse.BOTTOM LINE - this stuff works really really well but it is not for the faint of heart.

Made me a believer.....
It works! Simply put, if you take time to prep the boat surface, it's amazing! I would highly recommend wearing goggles, not safety glasses, and also good rubber gloves. For best results, I power washed the hull of the boat prior to use. I had a solid sludge line on the hull from the boat sitting in the water on an inland lake for six months....there was enough algae that I could have used a scraper to remove a 1/64". After power washing, I was left with a stained surface in which you could feel the remaining algae. I applied the product with a 2" brush and was shocked that the algae literally disappeared as I was brushing it on. For about 98% of the boat, a simply 2-3 brush strokes over the algae removed it down to the white hull. The remaining areas required it to soak in a bit and a second coat that quickly took it off. In addition, it took off the discoloration that was on the boat when I purchased it.....the hull literally looks new! For a 20' boat, I used about a quart and applied it liberally to the entire hull and outdrives and rinsed the entire boat afterward...I took the boat to the self serve car wash as I wasn't sure if this product would damage my driveway, lawn or landscaping. It did get on the trailer, bunk carpet and spare tire and I rinsed it along with the rest of the boat - it didn't appear to damage my specific trailer....I've used everything in the past, including straight muriatic acid....this work as well if not better. It's a bit more expensive than straight muriatic acid but as to the product itself, it works amazing! Wish I would have known about it twenty years ago.
