Many advantages over other tags, workaround for limited capacity. "work's on metal" is more important that I initially thought.
These tags use NTAG213 chip which has less capacity than newer NTAG216 (160-bytes vs 868-bytes). it was the initial reason i 1st bought another brand. However, it turns out that these tags have more advantages than other brands I tried, and I found a workaround for limited capacity.Pros:- 1st you need to understand what "It works on Metal" means: it means it will work on the car's dashboard, on the phone's car holder, etc. in other words: it includes also metal covered in plastic. Other tags didn't do it for me, and that's how I ended up with those ones. (at the beginning I thought: who cares, i won't put it on a sheet of metal. That was till i tried using other tags in my car).- long range: compared to other tags I tried, these ones do not need to physically touch the device (in my case, it is detects at about 1/2 inch distance)Drawback (and workaround):I started using NFC tags idea to automate my phone setup when using my car, my wife's car, and when at home. this includes (for example):- switch off WiFi- switch on Bluetooth- un-mute phone ringer- start my audiobook player- start navigation / or car link software- set volume for media, ringtone, etcThese tasks take about 300-Bytes (vs available 160). However I found out there is a simple workaround: I used the NFCTools app profiles, and set the tag to simply execute the profile on the phone. That did the trick. all what the tag does is start the profile on the phone, this way i am not restricted by the tag's memory capacity anymore.

Limited range but work great with a naked phone.
These are excellent when used with an NFC application like Trigger. They allow you to perform a set of actions whenever the NFC is detected (e.g. turn WiFi on/off, open an application, start music playback, etc.). The tags work as intended but a case with any thickness will cause you some headaches in getting your phone to read the NFC. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 in an Otterbox case and I feel like a wizard waving his magic wand when I'm trying to get the phone to read this thing. When I have the phone out of the case it reads instantly. I've since changed to a Rokform case with the magnet and I've had some luck with getting it to consistently read by pushing the mounting hole against the NFC tag, but it is still hit-and-miss most of the time.Overall, make sure whatever NFC tag you buy is advertised to mount on metal surfaces like this one is. If they don't advertise it, avoid the tag as it's use will be very limited to surfaces with zero ferrous metal within 1-2 inches of the tag. The dash of your car is a no-go for those types of tags.

Excellent
The memory capacity is a little small and there's some limitations to what you can sometimes do. I am using a BlackBerry device and it has many NFC features. I am unable to store larger amounts of data, but I still use the tags every day for smart triggers, and basic text files. The construction is well made, and the PVC is quite durable. The 3M backing is strong and once you stick it somewhere, it will hold its place. The only minor problem I have had with this item is shipping. When it arrived with another item, the tags were scattered in the box and the plastic seam was thin enough to break. I counted 9, but I think there were originally 10 tags in one bag. Of course, there's no particular reason to tape every crack in the box, so one got lost somewhere on its way.I wouldn't buy this product if you are planning on using it for large amounts of data, but the 120 or so byte limit is not a problem at all if you end up using the tags every day. 9.9/10.

Serviceable tags, a bit slow and a bit low on memory.
Now that you can write/read a variety of NFC tags from iOS I decided to purchase a variety of different tags to test out for projects at work. I was drawn to these due to their size and looks. Unfortunately, they are by far the slowest performing tags I've written to and read. I also ran into the 144 byte limit a few times while trying to write some small strings in them. For the price they should have a bit more memory and speed. I bought a pack of 25 tags for 12 bucks on Amazon that are lighting fast and contain over 500 bytes of memory. On the plus side, you can use these on metal surfaces / you couldn't do that with the tags in the 25 pack I bought.

Very Happy but other manufacturers offer more colors and tags for a little less.
I like the sturdy card like feel and the high gloss look. These are great looking. They work with my iPhone XR and 11 just fine. I do have to get close with the phone and sometimes it takes a moment to run the automation. After a few tries, I learned to position the phone over the NFC tag rather than swipe the phone across the tag. What do they need to improve? I would like more colors or periodically new pattern so the tags can also double as eye-cons. I can do a lot with these, but if they all look alike, I fear my household with get confused. I could probably print patterns on blank stickers and overlay them on the NFCs so the burden of uniqueness doesn't have to fall on the producer.

Really poor instructions.
I was really looking forward to playing with the tag. The label for how to program them is small the font size is TINY and while they said to use a NFC app to program them to do wonderful things, they don't have an app or specific which one, they said search for NFC TAG. I have tried 3 and none can read or write. Hopefully one day they will make the label bigger or use a BAR CODE to take people to the PLAY STORE to the specific app. They have a nice finish and the actual tag looks nice.
