Excellent product!
Used this to power a hard wired Shure condenser headset for a summer conference house band. It worked beautifully and I love that it is battery powered with an on/off switch.

Cheap way to make your mic sound better
Works as expected. I have it hooked up as a pre amp to my Scarlett 2i2. The built in phantom on the scarlett doesnt pickup my mic well enough to remove all noise. So I added this as a pre amp and it sounds amazing now.

Does what it says, reliably
Sometimes just living up to what you say it can do is worth it. This is not a fancy piece of gear, it is simple and light weight. No bells or whistles. It will provide phantom power for up to two devices, and do it reliably.Well made (not bulletproof) and resilient. Does just what it claims to do. Lost one star because the purple writing is hard for this old man to read on a black background. Not a performance issue, just cosmetics.

Works fine, much room for design improvement.
It's fine. I agree with the other review having a problem with zero mounting options- how about a Velcro loop integrated or something? Anything? And the on off switch could be better protected from accidental turn ons and offs, it just sticks out in the front of the unit. Battery compartment could be much better. Still, it is s good item from a brand I trust, works just fine.

My audio sounds better than the live experience
For high-school plays, I tape an omni condenser boundary mic to the front edge of the stage and use this unit for phantom power, with the output to a wireless transmitter. Both fit in a padded case at the foot of the stage with any excess mic cable. Then I'm at the back of house with the wireless receiver into the video camera (with a shotgun mic second channel). My audio sounds better than the live experience, picks up the actors that aren't miced up for front-of-house sound, and is a super-quick setup without cables to trip over. There are smaller units out there, but not two channels in one box.

I use this product for powering a portable wireless choir ...
I use this product for powering a portable wireless choir microphone system. This unit works very well and powers the microphones just as if they were wired to my mixer phantom power.

Not True 48v phantom power
This "48v phantom power" unit does not provide a true 48v of phantom power. It would not work on my high quality condenser microphone that needs 48v to operate. Might work for lesser quality mics but I was rather disappointed considering the price and that they claim this provides 48v of phantom power

Works, But Has Some Drawbacks
The ART Phantom II Pro Phantom Power Supply does the job it was designed to do, providing power to a shotgun mike, but needs some refinements. For starters, when used with a camcorder on a tripod, it lacks any way to connect it to the tripod or the camera mount and must simply hang by the XLR cables. It also uses a 9V battery that is secured with one of those connectors attached to loose wires. There is no channel to hold the battery securly in place, so it just drops into the unit and floats around. There is no indicator to show a low battery condition and removing it from the unit is a challenge. It is unacceptable to have the battery go dead in the middle of a shoot, so it must be removed and tested and/or be replaced after every shoot. The designers need to rethink this one a bit.

Very pleased with this unit
Very pleased with this unit, and the supplier was very helpful in supplying a battery, as the one that came originally was under par.Would use this company again as they sell lots of audio gear!
