Great for tagging plants, won't fade, wash away.

I had purchased some plant label/markers and used a regular sharpie to write the information on. Unfortunately after a couple of rain storms, the regular sharpie washed off, which unfortunately left me with some plants I no longer know what the actual strain is, so, I purchased these Sharpie extreme permanent markers and the writing is now staying very well on the plant marker/labels! I am very pleased with the quality of these markers and wish I had purchased them sooner it would have saved me many headaches.

works good for plant tags and doesn't wash off easily or fade like a regular marker, but it does start fading after awile.

It’s a sharpie, it does sharpie things. But at an EXTREME level.

We purchased these markers to mark the registration numbers on our inflatable dinghy because they were supposed to last up to 5 years outdoors without fading. The markings faded to be bear lay visible after 5 months. We filed a warranty request and the manufacturer apologized & sent us a new package of markers. We recently opened the markers to renew the dinghy numbering. Of the 4 new markers in the package, 2 came dried out, one was leaking from the bottom of the pen and the 4th worked properly. We won’t know if the ink from the new marker will fulfill promise of holding up in UV till we resume use of the dinghy next fall (it is currently stored under cover. Very disappointing performance from a well respected brand name product.
