Cool idea, but broke with light use within a couple months
I bought this despite reading reviews here about cracks developing in short periods of time, and I regret that decision. It's a good idea and much more affordable than the stokke version. I love that you can change out images underneath and it's general dimensions. So I decided to baby this tray to see if I could prevent it from cracking. When it arrived there was a small note attached that directed me to hand wash this in cold water only, which made me think the company knew there was a problem with durability. So I followed the instructions carefully and have only hand washed it in cold water. We use this for our older baby, who isn't rough with it at all. Still within two months a crack developed exactly where it was described to develop by others (about an inch and a half long, at the center of the clear part on the wrist rest part). How disappointing to have spent the extra time caring for this only to have it break down in a short time. We still used it for a month with the crack to see if it would get worse or stay the same. It has progressivey gotten much longer and isn't really usable after only 4-5 months. In retrospect I shouldn't have ordered anything that would have such fussy wash instructions for everyday use.

Fragile, but still the best tray we ever used
Yes, the other reviewers are telling the truth: These trays don't last very long. They tend to crack if they aren't washed carefully. BUT even a cracked one is better than any other trays: They don't slide, they have a great crumb tray, and we never found anything like them.

Works well without the catch tray
I like the concept of this tray, but the one downside is the little catch tray. My kids tended to lead on it which would cause the entire try to lever up and flip all the food off the tray.

Much Improved Design
This is my second Kiddy Platter (formerly the Piggy Platter). I ended up throwing my old one out after a few years, because the design led to water being trapped in the edges leading to mold. I was hesitant in replacing with the same product, but I researched the new design before purchasing. It has worked great to contain the (extreme) meal time messes of my 2 year old and the new design is great. The edges are completely covered on both sides so that they are sealed tight. This tray combined with the Baby Bjorn molded bib keeps a LOT of food contained and off my kitchen floor at each meal. I would highly recommend.

It is NOT dishwasher safe
I like the design well enough, but dishwasher safe needs to be defined. I've had two and the rubber edge has peeled off around both. One has also obtained a sizable crack all the way through. Customer service was extremely slow to respond, although, I suppose to their credit, they finally agreed to replace it.

We have the Stokke Tripp Trapp and it is a great addition once your child is feeding himself or herself ...
Performs exactly as advertised. We have the Stokke Tripp Trapp and it is a great addition once your child is feeding himself or herself and is able to join you at the table.

It cracked.
We bought one of these about a year and a half ago. It was okay, thoughnot as great as I'd hoped. I found that the blue plastic/silicon picked up stains from things like tomato sauce, and the plastic was becoming cloudy from being in the dishwasher. Also, my son could fairly easily pick it up and push/pull it around. So we tucked it away in the cupboard and didn't use it for a while. Well, I pulled it out this evening to give it away to someone, because we are moving soon, put it in the sink to hand wash it, and when I lightly pressed down on it with a soapy sponge, the whole thing cracked right in half! With almost no pressure applied to it. Tossed it in the trash. Disappointing.

Did not last
Another disappointed customer here. I bought FOUR of these. Three for my own kids and one as a gift. EVERY one cracked within a year and they are now all in the landfill. Initially, I loved them. It's a great idea, I love that you can change our paper between to get different designs for the kids. My kids are not rough, they used them pretty normally save for maybe the occasional pressure. But every one cracking is a sign of bad materials. I'm disappointed (although not that surprised) to see this has happened to so many people. I am still searching for a good and affordable alternative. I really love being able to protect different paper placemats for reusable table activities.
