worked for 2004 chevy trailblazer LS
This is a great product and was very simple to install. So easy I let my girl friend match up the colors and crimp butt connectorson that's all that is to it. There is a few wires like the orange wires in my case (I used this to install a kenwood kdc-152 after market cd player) were there was not another wire from the head unit to connect but it works just fint. Just had to tape it off is all. A lot of people Gripe about the chimes being really loud and I didn't think they are loud at all and sound just like the factory chimes. After all the only time really the chimes come on is if keys are in ignition and you open the door other then that I didn't think the unit was that loud. It took a 5 days to ship which not sure why took so long but hey better then being b/o and taking a month. Also for those with a 2004 chevy trailblazer Ls don't panic when you remove the factory cd player and see that there is another small wire pin harness connected to the cd player you don't have to use that I believe my car may have had onstar or something before I bought it but in my case I didn't need to use it and either will you if you have it too. Also I would say stay away from using butt connectors they kinda a hassel if its your first time crimping better yet use crimp caps is a lot easier and won't have to worry about the wires pulling apart. Take your time do the research youtube and google are very helpful as well as others feed back on here.

LC-GMRC-01 interface. Retains all chimes on a 2008 Trailblazer Base model
Installation is exactly as expected, you need to match the wires on your new head unit's harness with the wires on the Metra LC-GMRC-01 interface, the documentation is pretty easy to follow.I did the connections and isolated them temporarily with electric tape, tested the new radio and the truck chimes, After everything worked, I applied solder and heat-shrink, then wrapped all the wires with high heat harness tape for a professional finish, I guess electric tape would do, but it tends to unravel over time with the interior of the car reaching 120 degrees when left outside in the sun. These are the solder seal wire connectors I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C3NBTJ9 and the wire harness tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I2MLN2QThe interface retains ALL the truck's chimes as far as I can tell, I'm very pleased with this purchase.Note that my Trailblazer used to be an undercover police unit, so it didn't have the fancy Bose audio/amp or even an analog amplifier. I think you will need an amp bypass or a different interface for models with a digital or analog amp.

Instructions could use a tweak...
Pretty easy to install and aftermarket stereo, also bought here, works just as promised. However, some of the instruction process was confusing. Luckily, I work with electronics on a fairly regular basis... soldering the connections, once lined out by a different instruction set from Chevy made things pretty easy. You definitely need this for any aftermarket installation.. recommended, just make sure to pull your wiring diagram for your vehicle as well, the ones in this package are slightly off.

Worked Perfectly - includes the wiring harness
Worked like a charm in my 2004 Chevy Express platform RV. It includes the necessary GM harness - you splice it into the harness that comes with the head unit, and the GMRC supplied harness then plugs into the factory wiring (no cutting factory wires!) Retains headlight/key-in chimes, as well as proper power switching (including Retained Accessory Power).Would be nice if it came with some installation accessories - I had to add some heavy duty velcro to secure it in the radio cavity. Also added some zip-ties to dress the wires. Standard stuff folks may or may not have on, but would be nice to have at least some double-stick tape in the kit.Module in the radio cavity is just loud enough to be heard at a reasonable level. If you put the module in a more exposed position it *might* be too loud, but there are instructions on how to quiet it down if you need to.Someone else mentioned that they were unhappy with the current limits of the module. If you're running into this, you may be doing it wrong. The module is only designed to supply the low current "ignition" switch power. Actual headunit power is fed separately. If your headunit does not have a built-in switched circuit control, you could use the module circuit to switch an external relay.

Everything your gonna need!
The media could not be loaded. So first off, wow! If you just buy a harness then it's not going to work, now if you buy this? Yes it will work right outta the box. I spent over a month trying to get my pioneer radio working, so for $40, it's worth the extra money. This features:R.A.P ( Retained Accessories Power )(extra 5-10 minutes for the radio or windows ))STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS (those buttons to make it "hands free" )SPEED SENSE CONTROL ( more vroom more boom )PARKING SENSOR (ya know so you can play with the EQ ON YOUR NEW APPLE CAR PLAY )BACK UP SENSOR (that way you can tow your boat with an old Malibu)DOOR CHIMES ( can't live without 'em )

decent price and works great
Used this in my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, the wire colors were the same as the maXpeedingrod Q96 radio i put in, everything works great and I retained the beeper and the radio stays on when i shut of the car untill I open the doors then the radio shuts off.no need to cut the factory wiring harness on the car and the instructions were correct for every wire.
