Love these sneakers!
I've been shopping around for a good pair of Converse for a while, thinking that I could find them for under $20.00 if I looked hard enough. My last pair, which I bought three years ago, was $20, and I thought surely I could find more for less than the $35-45 price tag I was seeing. Stupid inflation.I finally bought these when I realized if I was going to get a new pair, I had to cough up the extra dough. I'm really glad I did. I wore the last pair all the time, and though they're still comfortable and I'm far too attached to them to throw them away, they have holes in the leather and in the sole, and they smell something foul when it rains. I have no doubt that these canvas Converse Chuck's will last just as long and be just as comfortable, and my first few wears makes me confident that I'm right. My last pair was leather, but the same shoe style, so I don't know if the fabric of these will stretch. I do know that the leather ones never did, it only got a little less structured after three years of wear. What I like:1. These are meant to wear as regular sneakers, so while you don't want to go on a run with them, they are just as comfortable if you're going on a long walk. There's no chafing on the heel no matter how far I go, and the support means they're not going to destroy your lower back if you find yourself walking or standing all day.2. For me, at least, they fit true to size. I have wide feet, but the design of the shoe means I can lace them tighter or looser and not worry about them cutting into my circulation or falling off.3. I got the navy blue ones, and the color is exactly what you see in the product picture. It's vibrant, but not bright, and well-dyed and even-toned.As for dislikes, well...there's nothing I dislike about Converse, so you're asking the wrong person if you're looking for complaints. All Converse I've ever owned are comfortable and simple, and I think it's what the brand does best.

Timeless sneakers
The thing about Chucks is, they are inexpensive and they are stylish. What they are not however is comfortable. I wouldn't for example wear them for my daily run. But I do wear them for working out in a more stationary capacity, such as strength training. These shoes offer nice grip on most surfaces dry or wet, however they are completely flat; hence the comfort issue. I might even suggest some cushioned soles for arch support. All that said, I will be getting these exact shoes in other colors.Just a note, mine did not come with extra laces as advertised so I *should* by all rights dock them a point for that. On the other hand, the laces for these shoes are the cheapest of the cheap so it's not that big of a deal since I am otherwise completely satisfied. And a final note, as others have recommended: get 1 size smaller than your normal shoe size. I am normally a 12; I got an 11 in these and they fit perfectly.

Great shoes, though not as cheap as expected
I remember wearing these shoes while I was in high school. I used to go through them quickly as I had to walk to school due to living less than two miles away, so usually I had to get a new pair every year. I bought another pair years ago (long after high school was over), but I seemed to have lost at least one of them. I bought these, because I wanted my feet to be cooler this spring and summer. I was disappointed I couldn't find them locally in my size and that they weren't as cheap as I'd hoped on Amazon, but I still love them.

Wear with anything, comfortable fit, and slightly chic!
I would buy again. Seem to be well made, no gluey manufacturing smells, nothing has split, & a good fit. If u have a wide foot try these on before buying as the runner is quite slim. Laces are pretty crap but easily replaced. My shoes are black - there was a large selection of coloured runners - really cool colours. Not one of them was available in my or any other size.Something ive noticed about contemporary runners - they dont have the small eyelet holes along the bottom sides - for a little air. A Paticularly good idea for men …

They fit perfectly.

Size Confusing
These shoes were fine but the wrong size. If you look at the title of the shoes it is very confusing as to the size but otherwise a very good quality product

only shoes i wear
i am on my 2nd pair of converse monochromes and these are the only shoes i wear and will ever wear. I wear them with jeans, i wear them with black slacks, i wear them playing basketball, etc. etc. etc. They look awesome, they are super comfortable, they don't get dirty and they last about 2 years with every day wear. I threw my last pair away because i kept wearing them even though they had holes in them because i liked them so much. Pretty much if i could buy a subscription to shoes where they would send me a new pair every year I would probably do it and then just never have to worry about footwear again.Actually, this is a good idea - converse send me a pair every year please

I've worn them every day since they arrived
I own some converse knock offs in other colors and thought about buying some blue converse for about two years. Finally did so and lucked out because they were only $24. I bought the comfort sole and am glad I did because regular converse feel like the soles are made of hard plastic. These feel like regular shoes and they look great with my jeans. My boss liked them so much she bought a pair but wound up paying $60 for the same pair so shop around.
