I've had two of these units for 1.5 years and love them! On low, you can barely hear the unit running...more like a low background white noise. High does get a bit loud, but to be honest I never have it running that high nor do I see a need.I have one in my home office and one in a workout room in the basement. The low white noise I mentioned above is perfect for my home office because it blocks out/minimizes noise from kids when they get home from school and I am still on calls for work. The workout room unit does a great job at eliminating any hint that there is a lot of sweat going on in there! I keep both units on low all the time.I have seen some reviews of people with really dirty filters after a few months of use. So yes, this does definitely work! A year and a half later, I am just starting to think about changing the real filter in both units. When I purchased the units, I also bought the 3M Filtrete carbon filter, cut it to size and have that in front of the filter. THAT is what I have changed a few times, but at a much lower cost then the real filter.When it comes to price, the unit itself, the carbon filter, AND the real filter are still far cheaper than anything out there on the market. A quick search on Amazon brings up so many knock off or unknown name brands from who knows where. 3M has been around a long time, so I knew what I was getting and have yet to be disappointed. I can't imagine spending $200-$400 on one of these units, especially from a brand I've never heard of. Again, this unit has been great for 1.5 years, has a nice design/look, and I have no doubt it'll give me several more years of great use!

This unit works great. Easy to set up. Quiet at medium speed.

Filtrete smart air purifier FAP-SC02N, FAP-ST02N(On the control panel) Indicator lights—A new filter will have 100% and decrease as you use it, letting you know when to change the filter. It also has an air quality indicator light that goes from 0 to 500, indicating good to severe air quality.

I bought 2 of these and I really like how quiet they are. I am not having to blow my nose as much. Set up on the app was challenging and I ended up not being able to connect them to my wifi. Will attempt again in the near future.

Keeps the air clean. I like it at medium speed as high is a bit too loud. But works well on medium speed. I can tell a huge difference if it is turned off.

I like that it has a timer and adjustable speed. It was easy to set up and use. The noise level is minimal and I can smell a difference in the air of the room. It's a little bigger than I expected but not obtrusive.

I had to call customer support because it wasn’t connecting to WiFi and they told me that this filter was discontinued a few years ago and that was the reason it couldn’t connect. Besides that, which they should have disclosed, the machine is working.

We wanted a HEPA filter to reduce allergens in our home. Decided to try the 3M model as we use their HVAC filters. Really happy with this unit. It has 3 speeds and cleans the air in a room pretty fast. The lowest speed produces a "white noise" that's quiet enough to use at night while sleeping. It's fairly large and has some heft to it, so it's not cheap & flimsy. The cover is a bit flexy though. Mine had 2 pieces of tape to help secure it. Might have been for shipping, but I left it on. It also removes odors. I ran it for an hour in a closet that's a little stale and the difference was immediate.
