FireWire 400 to 800 Adapter / 6-pin to 9-pin Converter For Apple and Windows Computers

I had to buy a connector to allow me to connect my Apple iSight web cam to my current generation Mac Pro through a 30" Apple Cinema display. I upgraded my old Mac Pro and the new one does not have a firewire 400 connection and the iSight camera is firewire 400. Everything works as it did before so I am happy. I see from other reviews that there are compatibility issues with some MacBook Pro systems but not on my Mac Pro.

Not much to say either good or bad about this product. It does exactly what it's supposed to and is built out of good quality plastics.Again, does what it's supposed to. Great product, with a great price.Shipping for multiple items should be less....

After receiving the adapter, I tried using it to connect my camcorder to my computer-- nothing. I tried to use it to connect a hard drive to my computer-- nothing. I plugged in the same hard drive with a cable I knew to be good-- it worked. The adapter I received was broken.Maybe it was just bad luck but I would recommend buying elsewhere.

For older Macs. This is something that Firewire users might eventually need although now the standard has changed again.

Great adapter baought it some years ago still works today.

Bought a new macbook pro so I could use the old firewire cable and it simply didn't work.ended up buying the new cable, they are not as long and way more expensive. Lame!

I bought this for my macbook pro and it didnt work at all for me. It crashed my macbook every time i plugged this adapter in. They did give me a refund. They say its a common problem with macs but you can try it if you want.

Don't know why they advertise this for Apple. It just didn't work on my unibody MacBook Pro.
