Astro a50 gen2
I replaced the original dead battery with this one in my astro a50 gen2 headset and it works just fine and charges also. I have not got the amount of time for each charge.

Works with Astro A50 Gen 4
If you’re using this for gen 4 Astros (2018 or newer) then you will have to either solder this to the headset motherboard or do like I did and and desolder the wires from the old battery and the new one and swap them so you that you can just use the old connector pin. Now my headset finally holds a charge, good battery so far.

Worked as expected
Worked great with my Astro A50 gen 4. Used wire cutters to reuse the existing power plug.

Look for a video for install. My battery was on the opposite side. After the install everything worked great.

A50 Gen 4 Replacement
Well it worked, but damn did Astro make that difficult. Would suggest a better screwdriver, but has to be long and thin enough to fit. I didn't want to try to strip the ultrathin wires so I desoldered the old battery wires from the board before soldering the new battery wires to it, but this was also a pain due to all the super glue astro added over the existing connections, which I ended up peeling / burning off. After miraculously getting all three wires soldered to the board, I turned power on to check the connections and realized the right speaker was no longer working. Seeing as one of the negative connections to the speaker can was pulled out in the process, I ended up having to resolder that connection twice, since the first time didn't work.Overall I am amazed I made it through this and came out on the other side with fully functioning product, it felt like I was one small mistake away from turning my headset into junk plastic. But you can't beat giving a 300 dollar headset a second life for the price of this kit, even if you fail and do turn it to junk, probably worth the experience.

Works for the Astro 50A Gen 4
This is a difficult battery to find. It fits perfectly and is the same mah as the original. You do have to solder the connector from the old battery onto the new battery or solder directly to the board. It arrived with an acceptable storage charge. Do not cut pad, lift it up on the four corners where the screws are. It will settle back done where it needs to be when done. I didn’t need to glue. I already had screw drivers the included one looks cheap. You don’t need to spend hundreds on a new set just because the battery wears out!.

Works as advertised
Working fine. Wires are very thin. Be careful stripping them, easy to break the metal wires inside.
