this is a holistic dog food, and my last Jack Russell Terrier lived to be 22 yrs. old. My current JRT, is now 14 and in excellent health. Solid Gold has small kibble for small breeds and larger kibble for larger breeds and it comes in many flavors. It's made in the USA, and not full of garbage.

I had my own boarding and grooming business for over 25 years. Over the years I handled, cared for, and fed thousands of dogs. I rescued and rehomed on average about 5 dogs every year. The Solid Gold foods were one of the foods I frequently recommended to my clients, and fed to most of my own dogs. Most of the dogs loved it. Clients often commented on the fact that their dogs actually seemed satisfied eating less food because Solid Gold is high quality and nutrient dense. I found that to be true with most of my own dogs as well.

This food straight-up saved my dog's life. My Sadie was tipping the scales at 90lbs when she was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. We were feeding her the house brand dog food from a big-box retailer. She is allergic to chicken so she needed the "fish protein" formula. Switching to Solid Gold has been a life-changer (and a life-extender) for her. I wish it weren't so expensive but I don't complain about it because it saved her life!

My 2 Toy dogs can't wait to eat their Solid Gold! I would have gave it 5 star if the Price was a little more affordable.

I have senior dogs and this is all I feed them. I use this and drop some of the gut health chicken and broth /with probiotics on top. They love it. Will not eat anything else. They have bad allergies and they were perfect and stomachs are happy
