2XUMen's Light Speed Compression Shorts for Running and Active Sports

A long time user of CW-X, I decided to try this brand and not disappointed (i wear M in CW-X similar running tights) but these MED were too small, easy exchanged for L size. ( 5'9 / 164 )These are also Very high quality running tights and they are indeed Tight shorts that felt fine on Run # 1. Pay the price for Quality and dont look back.

I have never used Compression shorts before and decided to try these thinking they would help with muscle soreness on long runs and trails. I was surprised at just how well they worked. My runs felt much smoother. An unexpected bonus: on my last run I began to experience G.I. Issues, I am convinced that the compression prevented me from having a complete blowout in the middle of the sidewalk. I am convinced the extra support on my clinching muscles saved me. I bought an extra pair just so I always had one ready to go.

Excellent compression, great fit and comfort. The two pockets work well--the one in back holds an iPhone XR, the small one holds house-key and ID. I love wearing these for runs.

2XU always gives a great product but I always wait until I get an Amazon gift card because the prices are a little high for me.Working out: They do just fine. I really like the three pockets where I can store food or my phone while on long runs. I run ultra-marathons so it is important for me to be able to carry 400-600 calories with me.Comfort: I understand their purpose and need to be tight but the mediums are a little too tight. Larges would be too long down my legs. They can be a little restrictive at the bottoms above my knees but nothing that would cause me to return them.Value: My first pair are in great shape and have had them for 8 years. I expect these to last the test of time and miles I will put on them.

As shown in photos, the printing of logo “X” is *SMEARING* , with small bubbles (from my newly unboxed _2XU Men’s Light Speed Compression Shorts_I have 3 other 2XU compression shorts with me right now, they have been used for 2+ years, the printing of the “X” stays crisp, the color is still pleasantly sharp. I enjoy to use them everyday.About the “gold” color. It is deceptive from the photos from Amazon app, even the photo I post here become automatically enhanced to brighter color (iPhone 14 Pro camera app), the real item is plainly dull. I may still accept the color provided the quality match the usual 2XU compression short I bought before.Another change in design really annoying (i consider it as design fault, or below par management decision):1. One less side pocket (no where to instantly access to my key card (credit card size) now) and yes, side pocket is much easier to access than back pocket);2. They add a zipper to the back pocket. This change renders me NOT able to put my iPhone 14 Pro into the pocket. The size of my phone is perfectly fit to the stitch pattern of back pocket. I just couldn’t insert it vertically through the narrow “non-elastic” opening, turn it horizontally. Simply because the zipper is not elastic, while the previous design with elastic pocket opening edge. I never experienced once that my iPhone fell out of my back pocket after I put inside it horizontally. If 2XU wanna improve the backpocket design, they may wish to do what my wife do for me, add some stitches to strengthen the ends of pocket opening which was deformed while I plug in / grab my phone a dozen times per run daily.Hope I can see the new & improved 2XU compression shorts soon. For now, I’m returning it.Your new unsatisfied customer.

I read other’s reviews about the product and how they liked it. I saw that several said they were kind of tight, but didn’t specify if it was legs or around waist. Grant it, they are compression shorts and should be tight in the legs, but my husband said they are tight around his waist. He wears Large pants, which I ordered for the shorts. For this brand, he suggests going a size up.

Not really much to say, I've been looking long time for this kind of running shorts, and they match the description exactly. Great hold and support for muscles, good length - not too short and not too long. First felt a bit too tight, but maybe that has to do with body growth, but overall still fits perfectly, it is compression shirts so I would expect some level of tightness anyways. Just loving it!
