JAM PAPER Durable Rubber Bands - Size 16 - Black Multi-Purpose Rubberbands - 100/Pack

I don’t usually give reviews but this product was so disappointing. I bought these rubber bands to make co-workers rubber band balls for Christmas presents. After a few weeks the rubber bands all broke. They literally crumbled apart. I wanted to get a refund, but I waited too long. They are not worth the money if you want something that lasts more than a few weeks.

I bought a couple packages of these to wrap my lavender bundles after harvest. A few of them were already broken in the package, and about a dozen of them broke while trying to wrap. Granted, we were working with flowers, so all in all, I was okay with the strength of the bands. The purple is a beautiful shade and was very pleased with that, until a few days after wrapping, the color on the bands looked more variegated between dark purple and lavender, almost white. It was very strange. (The lavender was not stored outside. It was in a cool, dry, unlit room.). I would probably buy these again next year, but do hope that I just got a bad batch and they stay the same color for awhile!Edited to note: It’s been a couple of months now since I used my purple bands. Every single band I used on the bunches has broken open. So bummed. I’d be curious to know if anyone else had the same experience. When I use regular brown rubber bands, they are still on the stored bunches up until 2 years later.

Be forewarned. These rubber bands have a limited shelf life. After about 2-3 months they get hard and shatter when you try to stretch them. Things you put them around, like papers, stems, etc, break apart upon touch.They are good for bending down daffodils in June because by august they are crumbled in the dirt but who knows what you’re adding to the soil. I purchased green and purple. Both same.

I love, love, love these rubber bands. I keep a few with me at all times. There's always something I need to hold together. These rubber bands are made of very good materiel. They are the perfect size and thickness. Put a couple in your glove box, emergency kit, kitchen drawer, around your wrist. They will come in handy more than you wold expect. Good buy!

I actually use these black bands to tie my hair, which is very dark. I have a lot of hair. The ponytail holders on the market just don't hold as well as a good, thick rubber band. If I run around or play sports, my ponytail would eventually sag. So only thick rubber bands work well for me. I just have to be careful when I take them off so as to not tear my hair out. These are thick, soft and stretchy. I buy these because I can't find black ones at the stores. They are just great, but I wish the price could be better.

Got them for the color and fun, they lose elasticity pretty quickly which causes the color to fade and they seemed to have some sort of fine powder/residue on them that made my fingers feel slippery and bizarre when I rubbed them together. I will still purchase these because I love the colors so much, but I felt it was worth mentioning those points.

Normally when you buy a circular "belt" item it is measured by total length. When you buy a belt for your pants it is measured by total length. When you buy a belt for your car, the measurement is based on the total length of the belt. Not here. These bands are measured by the half-length. So when you think you are buying a 7" band, it is actually 14". Keep this in mind when purchasing.

Very heavy duty. Hadn't had one break with moderate use yet in water or direct sun.

Not sure why someone would need 100 rubber bands that tear as soon as you touch them. I tried using them to hold rolls of paper in place, so we’re not talking massive effort here. I tried 20 and all 20 tore off the second I tried moving them. I’m not even stretching them. I don’t know how someone manage to produce so poor quality rubber bands. Just stay away from these, they are not fit for anything.

I bought these bands primarily for use in the kitchen - to keep packets that had been opened/ used closed.I love that they are such a distinct colour as there is no way you can lose them or forget that they are there. They are strong, flexible, and do the job well.

These were a very good quality and wonderful colour! We actually used them for lap counters at our christens triathlon for the run - club colours are green and perfect so were perfect! Highly recommended.
