This is a very exciting movie. The acting is superb. Amitabh plays a complicated character who had to endure a lot as a child.

Something is seriously wrong with this movie. I am a tremendous fan of Agneepath 2012, one of the very best Hindi Bollywood movies I've seen. Have watch multiple times. When I found this Original movie I was excited. But 1/4 of the way through I was confused as to what I was watching. No similar story line and who knows what they were all fighting about. The ONLY similarity I saw was burning the school house. Yes, Vijay's father died but don't know when or how. Constantly nodding off during movie. And when you keep looking at the progress bar to see how much is left you know you don't have a winner.Very disappointing movie supposed to be the original of a fantastic movie. Thumbs down and move on!!

One of the best movie of 90s. Awesome acting by all cast.

Poor copy. No quality. No crispness. No HD. Its a waste of money.

There is a reason why this Megastar is outshined by any of his predecessors or even ANY current actors (young or a little older) in the Bollywood industry...his technique, style and PRESENCE is too much of a magnitude to ignore...he literally nailed it in every scene along with Mr Mithun Chakravarty and Rohini Hattangadi....SUPERB AND CHILLING

I have probably seen this film about 20-30 times in my lifetime, and still think about this filmat the off chance.What makes this film so appealing is the incredible acting of Amitabh Bachchan, and though it is loosely based on Scarface (starring Al Pacino), it holds its own because of its deep story and moving characters.The fight and end sequence are absolutely memorable, and special note should be given Mithun Chakraborty as the sidekick Krishnan Iyer M.A. (he pronounces 'yum-yeah').In general, I am not a fan of music in film unless it adds to the scenes, and like 99.99% of Indian films, the songs appear spontaneously and appear as a distraction. The only song I would consider watching as part of the film nearer the end involving a festival, but I do not wish to spoil the film and will not divulge further, but you will know what I am talking about.The film originally was a flop as people cited Amitabh's deep accent as a problem, but as you know, people were not sophisticated enough to understand this was a part of his character at the time, and since the film has been out, this has developed a cult following, resulting in a remake due in 2012 starring Hritik Roshan.When you watch the film, you will realise why doing a remake will be a mistake, as all Bollywood films are full of gloss and no character. Buy this and watch it!

Cover shows Eros label. Was sent Sony BMG.There are 2 versions of the film - original dub which has Heavy Husky voice of Bachchan vs Redub which has lighter voice and some Scarface background music inserted. Collectors and fans would want both versions.

Unlike most Bollywood films, Agneepath is a serious watch!! With hardly any comedy sketches. The story is based around India's Underworld bosses who go to war against each other and in this case Amitabh gains power and goes to war with the highest ranked underworld boss who is in control of land and many major smuggling rings, and also is the cause of his fathers death.A very serous film to watch!!
