French Butter Dish
I recently bought it, and it's quickly become a kitchen essential! The design is not only charming but incredibly functional. It keeps butter fresh and perfectly spreadable for much longer than simply leaving it in the fridge. The key is to fill the base with fresh water daily, creating an airtight seal that prevents the butter from spoiling.Changing the water is simple and only takes a few seconds, which is a small price to pay for always having soft, fresh butter on hand. No more dealing with hard, unspreadable butter straight out of the fridge! Plus, it looks elegant sitting on the counter. If you're a fan of real butter and want to keep it fresh without refrigeration, this French butter dish is a game-changer. Highly recommend!

The Best Way to Keep Butter Spreadable
This Butter Crock is hands down one of the best things I’ve ever found. It keeps butter perfectly fresh and spreadable at all times. The design looks great on the counter, and it’s super easy to use. If you love real butter, this is a must-have!

What a wonderful butter container!
A wonderful little butter container. It takes two to three minutes to fill the butter. It is convenient and a pleasure to get very soft butter in an instant. The reason for giving four stars out of five is that the size of the container is quite small. It can hold 165 grams of water. 160 grams of butter is the maximum. It would be more reasonable if it could hold at least 200 grams of butter. Because the butter blocks in the market come in such a weight.

Works like a charm so far
I chose the blue colour and I like the large diameter lid which is easy to handle. I’m impressed so far, keeping approx 2/3 of a block of salted butter cool but spreadable. I have had no issues at all yet with butter going off and the bell holds enough for about 3-4 days max. of moderate use. I packed it solid with butter from the fridge, that had been left to warm up a little to room temperature for a few hours.Filling water to the marker line is essential and changing it each morning is a simple task. We’ll have to see how well it works in summer, but early results are very encouraging and I’m glad I tried it. At last I’m enjoying buttered bread or toast again! Only let-down is the rather naff ‘Have a nice day’ on the bowl.

It’s a good looking addition to my kitchen counter.
The butter bell really works and I’m very impressed. It’s also very good looking and stable when removed from the pot.

Needs some more work on the design
Lovely dish, beautiful colours, works well. Only negative and rather annoying issue is with the hollow lid. There is a tiny hole, which I assume is there as part of the manufacturing process, from when the ceramic is fired, that allows water to fill the lid when you wash it. No amount of shaking and turning gets all the water out. I hope mould doesn't start growing. Shame.
