Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader Force FX Lightsaber

I'm a Star Wars fan in so much as I grew up with it, appreciate the longevity, and want my kids to also enjoy as I had decades earlier. I am not a person who dresses up or goes to conventions so I won't criticize tiny details. With that said, this and similar Force FX light sabers are quite possibly the coolest little acquisition I've made this year. The metal handle gives it solid weight, the sound effects are great, and the LED lights are bright and go on/off just like in the move. I even whack these against each other with my 4 year old son. Plus every 30+ year old dude who comes by is very impressed.

Oooommmmgggg!! I am so happy to have this. I’ve been wanting one for years and when I opened the box I nearly cried. HAPPY TEARS! And when I held it I knew that I was going to start collecting these as well as custom ones. It feels good. Heavy on the hilt but I wasn’t surprised it’s a lightsaber. After swing it around a few times I got clumsy and it either hit something or fell out of my hand but it was fine! I am so happy with it and plan to get Mace Windu’s next.

This was my 4th of the 5 Black Series lightsabers. It looks and sounds great, though it is slightly heavier than most of the others (Kylo Ren's being the heaviest so far). As this is a somewhat expensive item that is clearly not meant for anything other than display (don't let the clash sounds fool you, these will be damaged by trying to duel with them) I have mounted all of my current sabers in my nerd cave. The method I used (Gorilla tape and flashlight mounts) makes it easy to take one off the wall when I want to show them off, but since Vader's saber is heavier than the others that method has not been great and I have come home from work to find it on the floor once or twice (luckily these are heavy duty enough to take a 5' fall without damage, but still). The item is nearly perfect, but beware that the weight difference may require you to find a different method for this saber if you have mounted others in the past.

I purchased a darth vader costume, so I had to buy a light saber as well. I looked at some of the cheaper ones first, but since I bought the expensive costume, I didn't want the light saber to look like a toy. so I spent the approx. $150 on this one. it is awesome!! definitely worth the $150 and then some. we took some video of me turning it on and swinging it around, and it seriously looks just like the movie...love this thing

This is my first force FX lightsaber, my first lightsaber in general and I’m extremely pleased with the price to quality ratio. The attention to detail on the hilt is very nice and so is its weight, it feels great to hold and swing and the blade is sturdy and well fixed. As far as the electronics go the lighting is good except for some rings of slight darkness in certain spots, the sound is adequately loud and sound quality is good given the small speaker. Loses one star mainly because of some incredibley annoying recycle and operating direction stickers they applied directly to the metal and plastic on the hilt which when removed leave glue residue that is quite difficult to get off( I alternated between wet washcloth and dry washcloth with a bit of fingernail action) I feel that all the information on these stickers is clearly stated in the instruction manual and shouldn’t be applied to an “adult collectible”. Overall though a great lightsaber and I’m definitely going to be buying the rest of the black series and any new ones in the future.

Theres is nothing wrong with the product, however I am extremely dissappointed in Amazon for the way it was shipped to me. I purchased this as a christmas gift so I wanted the box to look nice, unfortunately for me Amazon just slapped a shipping label on it and left the clearly marked star wars box with a $200+ product inside just sitting on my porch. I have never had any product come without a shipping box before and of course the one that does is the most expensive thing I buy.

Well worth the money. Used it for Halloween and everyone was in awe. It is much heavier than you would expect as the handle is cast medal opposed to plastic. It lights up and down and stays on and turns off with a touch of a button.I had also ordered a lower grade light saber made by a different company for $60. That one was much smaller and lit up, made some sound effects and dthen turned off when you pressed the button- so you couldn't keep it on .This light saber does what you want it to when you want it to.

This product is awsome i personally loved it it is a beautifully constructed item it really is like in the movies and great for display items or for cosplay it is however quite heavy and when I got it the box was really damaged but luckily the actual item was not damaged all in all it was worth the hundred and fourty dollars it was probably the Best hundred dollars I've ever spent on myself great product!!!!
