Happy with these. Stylish and good value.

I had a retinal operation which meant my eye prescription was all over the place for a while. I got these with a view to being able to move my head about until things came into focus. They worked perfectly for me for the few weeks I needed them. Are they any good for long-term use.... not really. Only the centre section works. If you look to the side it will be out of focus. So OK for a bit of readign or watching TV but not really any good for driving or walking about. That said though they are a fraction of the price of teh higher firld of vision varifocals so worth getting a pair just to keep in your bag.

It doesn’t work

Bought these in 2020. Lasted two years, probably would have lasted longer if I looked after them better. They are my go to ready readers. Great for reading and watching telly without having to keep removing. Highly recommended! I bought these at strength x2.00, the previous pair was at 1.75. Over last two years my near sight has worsened. Time for another eye test! Comfy, not too weighty on my face and good for TV viewing at a distance as well as viewing far distance. Once on my face they can stay on my face, Simples! Also bought the transition sun readers too. They too are fantastic! Sunglasses, readers and distance viewing rolled into one! recommended them too! I couldnt get the promotion discount on both tho. despite trying many times, if I clicked the promotion link I couldnt set the strength on the added lenses as I liked. So I paid full price for both. wouldve been nice to save 10%. Othewise, no issues! Does what it says on the tin!

Paid extra money for progressive multi focus function but the glasses failed to deliver. I wanted glasses which would allow me to read a book and work at a computer. On reading the product description, I thought these glasses would prove to be perfect. However, I can only use lowest section of the lenses for reading but remainder fails to give clear vision at mid and/or long distance.

I ordered a pair of these in 2.0 magnification and initially I was very impressed. They were slightly too strong for me but wearable. After a few days one of the legs broke off at the hinge. I thought initially that was my fault. Maybe I'd sat on them or over stretched them so I ordered a new pair, this time in 1.50 strength.However, after just over a week this new pair broke in exactly the same place! Then, within minutes the other leg fell off (although not broken as far as I can see).I believe this may be down to the hinge joint being so tight but also the plastic may not be supple enough for normal use...

Having paid hundreds of pounds for varifocals at a well known High St optician with the misleading name and not had an entirely good experience with online prescription sellers I was surprised to find while visiting America last year that it is was possible to buy off the peg Varifocals. (which are called multifocals) I bought a few pairs of Foster Grants which although they worked weren't quite the right size for my largish head. As usual I sat on them or lost them and started looking for the same things in the UK - without success apart from here on Amazon. Anyway decided to have a punt on these on have been absolutely delighted with the quality of the plastic lens and general construction which, although not absolutely of the standard of designer frames they are large, (across and length of arm), lightweight, slightly flexible, (arms don't bend backwards but are long and straightish) and seem sturdily built for semi-rimless glasses . I can see better than my last pair of High St varifocals and the lens does not require constant cleaning. My eyes have roughly deteriorated with age at approximately the same rate - first short distance then gradually mid distance (computer and TV). I have also noted a slight improvement over no glasses at driving distances. I have noticed no banding between the segments of the lens and because they are wide and large are great for watching the TV or computer workon a large screen. Also great for shopping and photography. The specs came promptly with a substantial case.In summary these are an absolute steal for people with larger heads who want to see books and TV with better clarity and have an equal amount of short sightedness in each eye. Doubtless many opticians will be upset about the availability of these and issue all sorts of warnings , but for me the proof is in the seeing and they work for me. Obviously is not the answer for many people but at the price its worth a try (I cant speak for returns policy.) I've ordered another three pairs. NB the maker offers a smaller pair of varifocals on a different amazon page.

Potrei scrivere di tutto e di più su questo prodotto ma preferisco fare una semplice comparazione. Un mio amico ha un paio di occhiali simili a queste non si distingue quale arriva da questo fornitore e quello preso in un negozio di ottica. Le differenze si vedono solo da molto vicino e solo all'interno delle stanghette per cui sono invisibili agli altri. Un'altra differenza è il prezzo, il mio amico ha speso quattrocento euro. A voi la sentenza. Per me sono ottimi e volendo con il prezzo che ha speso il mio amico ne compro un paio alla settimana per un anno. Ma non ce ne sarà bisogno perchè sono di ottima qualità.

die Brille wurde sehr schnell und ordentlich verpackt geliefert.Im Lieferumfang war neben einem sehr stabilen und edel wirkendem Brillenetui auch ein Putztuch.Die Brille selbst ist sehr leicht und bietet einen angenehmen Tragekomfort. Für mich ist die Brille durch den Gleitsichtbereich sehr gut als Arbeitsplatzbrille geeignet. Nun fällt das lästige über den Rand schauen bei aufgesetzter Lesebrille endlich weg.Für den Fernbereich als z.Bsp. zum Autofahren wäre die Brille aber für mich nicht geeignet. Dazu wurde Sie ja auch nicht beworben.Etwas störend sind jedoch die leichten Doppelbilder die vermutlich durch die Blaulichtfilterschicht entstehen. Wenn die Brille noch eine entspiegelte Oberfläche hätte wäre das Oberklasse, aber für den Preis dann fast schon unverschämt günstig.Alles in Allem tipptopp und alle mal 5 Sterne wert.
