ArtBin 6980AB Super Satchel Deluxe 1-Compartment Lid/Divided Base, Translucent Clear

I loved the idea of all the different compartments and the different sizes they could be. But, the quality isn't that good. The first time I took it with me to a "sewing party" one of the front latches fell off and we were just lucky that one of the kids found it. The pivot point of one of the side boxes was broken, but if you keep it closed it's usable. The very top, flat part is very, very hard to open. Also some of the plastic walls of the cubes inside are warped. All in all it's something I should have got to the store to get so I could look it over first.

I actually use this container to store miniatures from Fantasy Flight's "Mansions of Madness" board game. If you've spent the time to meticulously paint the miniatures and glue them to their bases, then you'll want to protect them. The base game monsters, and most of the expansion monsters fit into the box standing upright, with exception of one "Call of the Wild" expansion monster that has to be put on its side. The side compartments (great for tokens & other markers) are translucent clear so you know what's in them before you open them. All map tiles, investigator guides, keeper guides and instruction booklets fit snugly in the top lid compartment. I have heard that this case also works equally well with Descent: Journeys in the Dark (2nd Ed.).*MINUS 1 STAR*Some of the stationary dividers in the smaller compartments arrived slightly warped which is not that big of a deal. The big issue is that all of the adjustable base dividers are missing. I submitted a message to ARTBIN (using their website) about divider replacements but have not heard anything back yet.

I got this because I originally needed an organizer for all of my fabric squares and sewing machine accessories. The plastic does break if you're not careful (hope it never falls on the floor)! I regret not buying a sewing basket. The good thing is that the compartments are adjustable, so you can create many of them, but the lid sometimes gets stuck when trying to open it. Not a great product that needs to last a long time or store items that are heavy.

The size is great, quality of plastic is good.The Top holds just enough - you don't want it to hold more, it would be too heavy.Overall we are happy with the purchase and it is being used. My 8 year old loves to have all her art things in one place - separate from the other kids coloring crayons and pencils. She is excited to continue to fill it up, which is exactly what I was hoping to encourage - more art!There are 2 things I was expecting this to have but it didn't:I wish the side compartments/satchels were removable so it would have a grab and go type of feature. (For some reason I was expecting this) Sometimes you need to take a few coloring/art things to take in the car or to school. To remedy this, we could have another satchel within the larger section with items for standard grab and go.I wish the inside of the large portion had adjustable compartments. There are some adjustable pieces, however the the horizontal dividers are stationary - they cannot be removed. My daughter's tools don't completely fill up the satchel - it is very large, so it would be nice to be able to fit some more of her books into the largest compartment. I'm sure as her talents expand and her repertoire of tools grows this will be perfect the way it is.

I liked the box design but it arrived damaged with the corner broken. A second box sent as a replacement was also damaged (in another spot) in transit. I think the quality of the plastic is poor and I cannot recommend this product.

My kids and I love this storage/organizer bin! I got it for them because I could not find a suitable one for their LEGOs. This works great for that purpose. The side containers are perfect for organizing the tiny LEGO pieces and the minifigure people. The top compartment works great for storing the construction blueprints as well as LEGO base plates. The large inside section fits all of the rest including the largest of the LEGOs. Customization of the compartment sizes is nice. We were able to store entire sets into individual sections.I will definitely be purchasing a second one to store the kids art supplies.

Broken!!!!!!!!! 3inches wide x 3 inches broken section at leg hinge! I am super pissed because I was ready to use it. Now I have to order another !! NOT HAPPY!!

The best storage compartment I ever purchased! I made 75 Breast Cancer bottle cap name badges as Christmas presents for my co-workers. I was able to store all my materials in this and take it on vacation with me. Everything from the glue gun to the charms all fit in this storage compartment! I really like the side bins the most. I purchased several different color half back pearls and Tibetan silver charms to use. I was able to store each one in its own compartment. I was able to store my Christmas card supplies in the top. The possibilities are endless!

I was excited to receive my artbin and very disappointed to find BOTH purchases were damaged in exactly the same place with no evidence of any damage to the box it came in. I would expect that there would have been some checking the merchandise for flaws before shipping. It was a great inconvenience to me as I had to repackage and send both articles back; as I have a torn shoulder muscle and am waiting for surgery; it was difficult. I have sent it off now in hopes that someone will check this order to ensure that everything is o.k.

I already own one and I bought this one for a friend that loved mine, for her birthday. It arrived on time, but was missing two clasps (to secure the box closed) and two dividers inside. I called the manufacturer, but the parts did not arrive on time. They eventually did, but my present was incomplete on her special birthday.

This product came with a cracked corner so we returned it. It seems from other reviews that this is a common problem when the product is shipped.
