Size:6 Pack The Clearspring goal is to get organic food back on the dining table, so that you can enjoy the same quality of foods as your grandparents did. By developing the demand for organic foods and encouraging the cultivation of organic crops by farmers today, Clearspring can ensure that your grandchildren, too, can enjoy the great taste of good food. You will find that each of te companys food products has a distinct flavour and quality that comes from using the finest quality ingredients and respecting local food traditions. Clearspring always works directly with producers, building long-term partnerships of ethical trade that support sustainable organic farming and benefit local communities. Matcha is a finely milled vibrant green tea powder made from the highest quality Japanese tea leaves. Clearspring Organic Premium Matcha comes from Uji, a region high in the hills around Kyoto, renowned for producing the best Japanese teas. Only accessibly by foot, this remote area is unpolluted and rich in friendly bugs such as spiders, ladybirds, praying mantis and dragonflies to keep the pests under control (best to use organic matcha as non-organic matcha is grown using excessive amounts of agricultural fertilisers and pesticides). Shade grown for the final few months to allow the leaves to fill with chlorophyll, the finest young tea buds are picked, dried and ground in a granite mortar.

A little bitter...
This matcha tea powder is from Uji in Kyoto - very close to where I am from (!) - which is very famous for its high-quality green tea production. The texture is very fine and smooth and it has a beautiful green colour. However, unlike top-quality tea powder, this product leaves a slightly unpleasant, bitter aftertaste... This was the case even when I used a proper bamboo whisk and filtered water...

Excellent flavour and value; I wish I considered picking and buying season
Flavours:It has just a hint of bitter undetones, but these disappear easily and leave excellent aftertaste (positively addictive). It has the pick-me-up factor that many will look for. Level teaspoon is perfect for the afternoon. It's colour indicates grade good quality and high quality.Cost: Very good quality for its cost. It is an excellent save for those who don't wish to spend £20+ for their matcha, but also don't wish to settle for average or cooking grade.Let me give some advice to anybody who's planning to buy Matcha:- Think carefully when are you buying your product. Matcha is grown and picked in May. The powder is highly reactive with air and light. Therefore don't buy it in late May or October, wait for a couple of weeks and buy fresh season. Also, with picking the most recent season you can enjoy your tea at its best quality for longer.

Didn’t quite like it
I was disappointed I was having high hopes for this matcha brand I don’t think it’s very effective ! The powder does not blend well even if you whisk it for a long time it still sits at the bottom when drinking as a tea!! I don’t think the price and the amount you gerbil is worth the product . Won’t repurchase again I’m afraid

Reasonably priced, not bad
Quite nice, it is quite bitter but I like that. I have had much better Matcha green teas than this, but they cost way more, up to 6 times the price. As some reviewers have mentioned, the quantity is quite small but you don't need much, less than a teaspoon per cup. Fine for an everyday hit of green tea, but I would go for something a bit better for special occasions.

Clearspring Organic Japanese Matcha Green Tea...
Love it, love it, love it, not as bitter as some others I have had, terribly good for you, not as expensive as others, good trusted brand and organic! I only drink Japanese matcha, as it contains less undesirable pollutants.I have this on a regular monthly order, I drink it every day, to the uninitiated not desperately appealing, it is an acquired taste, but to a regular matcha drinker, very acceptable.

Good value Matcha.
I use these in smoothies, tastes great and gives a slight kick and relaxed feeling. It tastes quite good as a drink on its own also. Is much more bitter than regular green tea. There are better tasting varities- however they can be very pricey. I give this 5*s as value for money, 4* for the taste. Good value for money overall. Arrived on time. Would recommend.

My favourite matcha
Having now tried several different types of matcha, in my opinion this is the best tasting one. Cheaper brands are ok to use in baking but I have found that I needed to use much greater quantities to achieve the same matcha taste. This product is expensive, but definitely worth it.

Good for latte and cakes
If you're looking for a great quality matcha, you'd be better off getting something from the Japanese shop/seller but this is still good matcha, I find it very good for making matcha latte.
