Q: Can I squat ass to grass in these?

I think it depends on the ass that is going to be put to the grass. These have a double stich crotch and it also sits a little lower than most so when I do have to squat low (about 5-9 5imes a day) I normally just hike then up a little from my pockets and my 1st pair have lasted me 1.5 years and counting. Hope this helps

Q: How well do they hold up to washing? The waist is comfortable but I'm afraid once I wash them they'll be too tight or too short.

They hold up pretty well. I just started a new job and was washing my pants like 3 times a week (working more than 8 shifts/week at times) and they all have held up. I've lost the internal button on one but I have to say, for about $150/year for two pairs, that's a pretty good trade... and I'll keep wearing them this year too even after getting two more pairs. They seem to relax a bit too like most pants.

Q: Are these pants supposed to be worn at the navel?

I am wearing it at the navel and I find it just nicr

Q: Do they come with bulit in knee pads?

No they do not I believe they come with the pockets for them but no they do not come built in
