Best file box
Received this box yesterday, quickly and easily put it together -- no trouble at all in lining up the snaps, and connecting them.Very sturdy and attractive looking. Solid! I expected that the top might have to be assembled, by folding or something, but it comes finished, with metal corners and rivets to hold in place. The cardboard is good thickness, firm, and finished to a shine.I really don't like filing, and my desk file drawer and 4-drawer filing cabinet, and various other plastic file boxes are all full, so paper tends to accumulate in piles, and then I can't find things easily. So, I got the idea of putting most things I wanted to keep, other than really special things, in a pile by month -- just throw them in flat, and put dividers between, or put in a file folder at the end of the month. The box top works really well for this -- it sits on top of the box, with the open side up, and I can just toss papers into it until I'm ready to stack them in the box below.I already nearly filled the box, though, with stuffed folders from my desk drawer, so now the special things can go there more easily. So, I will probably buy more of these boxes, or maybe just transfer to storage boxes, but I like the labels, handles and nice appearance of this box, so probably will buy more.BTW, I knew a guy years ago, whose system was to pile things up in the corner, and when the pile got high enough, he would take the bottom foot or so and throw it away -- he figured that if something hadn't moved to the top of the stack in time, then it probably wasn't important. ;) Maybe my ultimate solution.

Great for the price.
I'm 25 and I don't have many "important documents". My girlfriend and I wanted a small cheap storage option to keep all of our paper based things. This works perfectly for that. It holds up fine, although it should be noted we have not put very much in there, maybe around 100 sheets of paper total. I could imagine it getting flimsy and risking falling apart when near capacity, as it is just folder together and held in place with buttons.

Good for stationary files.
This box suits the needs for what it was purchased for (owner's manuals and household product paperwork), but I was hoping to get another one to store a rather large stack of medical files. The snaps pop open too easily and would not be durable enough to hold heavier or bulkier files. That said for lighter files that don't need moved around a lot, the snap-n-store is rather handy. It looks nice and is a lot bigger than I originally thought, I was not only able to file our owner's manuals, but had room for any space accessories (remotes, vacuum belts, small filter etc). Since I won't be moving it a lot, it will suit my needs fine, but just beware that if you need storage that is more mobile this box would probably pop open and become a source of frustration for you.

Good for Nonimportant Documents
Pros:CheapEasy to put togetherGreat if you have a lot of files to quickly store and don't care about conditionCons:Not protective of inside contentsFalls apart way too easily, the snaps just don't stay snappedCarrying by the handles causes the snaps to come undoneRuined if you get it wetAll in all, if you're looking for a really quick solution to some files that you already have backed up and don't care about, that you're just going to throw into the basement or the attic, then this might be perfect for you. But if you need something that's going to be more permanent and protect the files that are inside of it, I would recommend getting a thicker plastic one.I had quite a few experiences of carrying this thing and the entire thing would fall apart, and that was only when it was 1/4 of the way full. The weight would just pull at the handles on the sides, causing the snaps to come undone. It is convenient that it is so cheap and that it is foldable, but I would recommend spending the $5 more like I spent in order to get something that is more sturdy, and a lot safer for your precious documents.

look great on my shelving unit
I have several of these things. I bought some a couple of years ago, and more just recently. They're inexpensive, look great on my shelving unit, and keep stuff organized. I use them for my audio equipment manuals, CD sleeves, guitar parts, etc. They're sturdy, but I wouldn't say they're heavy-duty. I have to pick them up with two hands when they're full, otherwise the snaps might let loose. (Not sure if you could glue them together.) If you don't overload them you should be happy.

Fragile and finicky
I've had this for several years now and the only reason it hasn't completely fallen apart is because I am extremely gentle whenever I move it. The snaps constantly pop open, the seams are basically just paper, and the base isn't weight bearing. Oh and the lid isn't the right size — it's way too big. It just rests on top of the folder labels and hangs over the sides. It's a cheap alternative to a filing cabinet but if you have the means, I suggest buying something more sturdy.

Good Choice, Great Price
This is a great find. Here are some highlights:1. Large capacity. Holds way more than a “bankers box”2. Wide enough to just slip in the hanging files—-lots of them. No brackets required.3. Set-up is a matter of minutes. Just snap the buttons closed. 2 buttons on each corner.4. The top fits easily over the top with hanging folders in place.5. Couple of notes: a)The top is lose. I put the top on and then use a strap around the body if I take it out of the office to a car. I considered it a small price to pay for great capacity, ease of setup and fit for hanging files. If your travel requires more protection for your files, this would not be for you.

Fits everything I need it to! Only downside is that the snaps come apart occasionally but I do have A LOT of paper in it.

Works with Ikea Kallax.
I needed this to organize items in my Ikea Kallax unit. It’s a tight squeeze but it just makes it. Much nicer looking than a basic bankers box. Overall very happy with it.

Deceat size file storage
Works pretty well but the snap buttons are pretty weak and I feel like it’s just matter of time before they break. 3 our of 12 do not fully connect.

Las grapas no soportan la presión de cargar las cajas.
Use el producto para archivero. Las grapas que lo arman no son lo suficientemente fuertes cuando mueves la caja.

Lid dimensions are larger than listed.
Keep it in mind, the lid dimensions are 13.25x16.25. Might be a tight squeeze for some shelves.
