This little timer has BIG numbers
This timer works great. Magnetic so it stays where you put it and the large numbers are easy to read.

Not What It Appears To Be
I wanted a simple kitchen timer I could use to time various tasks- y'know, set aside ten minutes to clean the kitchen floor, set the timer, put it where I can see how much time I have left. That sort of thing. Reading the description and looking at the pictures, this seemed like what I was looking for. It isn't.The problem is the backlight. In the pictures, the backlight is on and the numbers are visible. This, one would think, is a fairly basic function of a timer. Unfortunately, the *actual* timer's backlight blinks off as soon as you set it. You can kiiinda make out the display without it, if the lighting's right, but forget about glancing up and seeing how much is left from across the room.At first I thought I'd screwed up, misinterpreted the listing, but looking over it now... they really don't make this obvious, do they? All the pictures show the display lit up, I can't find anything in the text that warns about this. I only spent about five minutes looking, so I can't 100% swear there's no fine print disclosing this problem, but if there is it's pretty well hidden.I'd heard KitchenAid was a good brand, but this is scammy behavior and the product is low-quality; it fails one of the most basic function of a timer- letting you see how much time you have.

Disappointment
I really expected a bit more from KitchenAid. There is no hour timer and the digital readout gets dark very quickly and is hard to wake up. Additionally, there is no countdown reminder. I was replacing an inexpensive timer that finally just gave up after many years of use. It was a simple design, had the ability to set hours AND minutes, and gave beep reminders at 10 minutes before time was up and again at 5 minutes before time was up. This thing doesn't do any of that. I was going to give it to my husband, but he doesn't want it because the hour setting isn't available. It is pretty. It is strongly magnetic and sticks nicely to the side of my refrigerator. Other than that though? My cheapo dollar store timer was far superior. Hope this helps.

Accurate timer - easy to use
This timer is accurate and that’s the most important aspect. The magnet isn’t strong enough. It attaches well to the side of my refrigerator, but it moves around when you are setting it. Also, if you want to bring it over to your workspace it’s not easy to read and isn’t meant to be used that way. Doesn’t sit upright. It still works but it seems designed only for use with the magnetic side on a metal cabinet or appliance. But most importantly it’s accurate down to the last minute or even seconds.

Cute little clock sticks on fridge
The sound isn't particularly loud, which is either a good or a bad thing, depending on your use. If you walk away from the kitchen you probably won't hear the timer when it goes to zero, but if you are in the kitchen you can't miss it. Cute little guy, comes with batteries so can't complain.

"Pretty is as Pretty does"
This is a very attractive Timer - much more so than the 30+ year old Timex model it replaced. Unfortunately, the beauty is barely skin deep and more that offset by the following deficiencies; 1) The "strong magnet" (Amazon description) will not keep the Timer from sliding down my Refrigerator door, 2) The display blanks out after 20 - 30 seconds, which makes keeping up with time remaining a real pain, 3) the alarm sound is anemic, at best. I could hear the Timex Timer 2 rooms away from the Kitchen. Not recommended. Returning.

What an upgrade
I had a digital kitchen aid timer. I think It lasted 13 or or more years. I wasn’t to keen on this new timer. I ordered the replacement. Well let me tell you, I love it. Great job kitchen aid!

Excellent
I recently purchased the KitchenAid KQ900 Single Event Digital Timer in Black, and I must say, it has quickly become an indispensable tool in my kitchen. This compact timer measures just 2.5 inches, making it easy to store and carry around. One of the standout features of this timer is its simplicity and ease of use. The large digital display is clear and easy to read, even from a distance. Setting the timer is a breeze, thanks to the straightforward buttons and intuitive interface. Whether I'm timing the cooking of a delicate soufflé or simply boiling eggs, this timer gets the job done with precision.Another great aspect of the KitchenAid KQ900 is its durability. The black exterior not only looks sleek and modern but also resists stains and wear. I appreciate that it can withstand the rigors of a busy kitchen and still look great. The single-event design of this timer suits my needs perfectly. It's a no-nonsense timer that does what it's supposed to do without any unnecessary complications. Plus, the loud and clear alarm ensures that I never miss the end of a cooking cycle.
