Pleass understand that this product is nothing like the smaller jars of edge booster edge control. The bigger jars are more like Eco styling gel. It will not be the stiff clear gel your used to if you have never bought this gel before. Just fair warning before you buy. It will curl my hair but it will not slick it down. Aside from that there was gel seeping out the sides of the jar and inside the top. It was not securely sealed at all.

This is one of the worst edge controls i have ever used. My hair is 4c and refuses to lay with this edge control. I used the apple scented and that one works fine but i was greatly disappointed about this purchase.

Disappointed in this product. After viewing videos on how to use it, I opened it, only to realize, this product has been tampered with. My first indication was product spilling around the rim of the jar, also the texture was a loose, like most other gels. The problem is...this should have been a stiff gel, not stiff solid, but so stiff that if I turn the jar over, it won’t move. The gel I received was in the correct jar, but it appeared to have been mix and wet. This probably explains why reviewers stated they had flakes/residue. I do recommend this product but it apparently is the “luck of the draw”...purchase at your own risk. I was going to return it, but I found someone who wants it.

Hold is incredible. Hair does get dry around day 3 but rewetting it solves that issue. I would suggest shopping around as this price is high. You can get it from Ebay for less.

Product smells good but "strong" hold it is not. I use there edge control which I can't live without so thought their gel would be just as good. I'm African-American with natural hair.

NOT FOR WASH & GOSuse only for slick back styles if you’re a melanin queen! I have type 4BC (mostly C) hair & it slicks back my hair very easily!I used castor oil as a base so it wouldn’t be rock hard & it mixes well.Didn’t mix well with any of my leave in or moisturizers

Idk if each of the different scents has a different grip but this product was hard to work with on my 4c hair. I saw influencers with the same hair texture as me on YouTube use this gel before in different scents, and they were able to slick their hair down. I use the same method as them to slick my hair down, I even used heat and slept with it wrapped up over night, and my hair kept on puffing up. I tried using different products and my hair still frizzed up. I’m sad that this product didn’t work for because I really wanted to find another gel that could replace my eco styler.

So, here is my honest opinion. This is a great gel. It is very strong hold. I was looking for something that would hold my edges up for 3-5 days. It lasted about 3 days straight without having to reapply. I am wearing my hair in 2 natural corn row braids. I have kinky and very thick hair; maybe 4b or 4c. I don’t think any product can hold edges down all week. Lol, But this came pretty close. I don’t know how it is when reapplied on hair without washing out the 1st application. I will test that and update my review. If this stuff reapplies well without having to wash out the previous application, I am 100% hooked! So far so good. I would highly recommend. No white flakes, no residue as of yet. Gel comes in clear. Bottle is huge. Is it worth $20? Yes, because the jar is huge! Pic included of 1st application. Loved it.

It actually holds with little to no messy build up! I have natural 4C hair and this hold my hair really well. I apply it then time my hair and walla I have a slick bun!

When I first got it, it was a bit too thin, and when I used it on my freshly washed hair, it didn't hold it , and i was about to give up on it,but I left it open for a few hours and and then covered it and left it for a couple weeks. it thickened and now works well.
