It's all pictures...
This is a very pretty book of pictures, specifically, pictures of mobile UIs. There's nothing more to this book than its visuals; no descriptions, no flows, no talk of process. Use this purely for inspiration, or as a nerdy coffee table book. Don't buy this if you're looking for a discussion on where GUI design is going. Potentially useful for inspiration when trying to solve a UX/visual design problem, but it doesn't cover much ground already covered by the internet.

Great Reference Book!
This is a great reference book for UI design. The book itself is beautiful, fun and well designed. The projects included are mostly for mobile. However, they do include a few desktop and tablet projects.Projects included are all contemporary (as of 2017), and include a variety of styles:- flat- isometric- post-modern- modernetc.SendPoints does a good job of explaining a little-bit about each project. This is a great book for visual inspiration, layout, colors, type, icon design, and even for client-presentations.

Pretty pictures. Not much else.
Apparently this book "assembles the best of recent graphic user interface design", which I would disagree with. Some of the projects are great, and it's good to have them in book form but some of them don't seem that recent - the industry shifted from skeuomorphism 3 years ago (but I do understand it's impossible to keep a digital design book relevant). What could have been the saving grace is interesting supporting text for each of the designs; unfortunately this book fell short. Designing digital products is way more than just making pretty designs. UI design is built around USERS and there is little or no insights into the design process behind each product.Either it needs to be more beautiful, or more informative... ideally both. Currently it just falls in the middle.

Einfach gut.
