Good value
I got these for our indoor stairs to help an elderly dog more easily navigate and go up and down the stairs safely. They were easy to install and are holding up well. My toddler pulled up one but it was easy to just stick down again. The adhesive hadn't caused any damage either.

Nice Quality
Runners were easy to install on basement steps. However, the adhesive was a joke because it did nothing to prevent the runners from moving. To prevent accidents, we had to staple the runner to the stairs. With that said, I would purchase again.

Looks great
They look great. However, the adhesive on the back could be stronger. Also, suggest the dustributor not send these folded, as it causes bend in the middle.

Very Easy to Use and Have Held Up Nicely
We have very slippery wood stairs and a toddler. We wanted to get something to make it easier for her to go up the stairs and reduce the risk of her slipping. These were super easy to put on. I was afraid that the adhesive wouldn't last and that they would eventually start coming off, but it's a couple months in and they are showing no sign of being any less adhered to the wood stairs. They haven't shifted when walking on them or in any way moved out of place. Adhesive isn't really the right description, because it isn't like glue or anything, it is more like a textured gel material that holds the strip in place. We had to readjust one (it was slightly misaligned from the others when we put it on) and simply lifted it up (no residue or anything on the wood) and straightened it out. So, these don't leave any trace of having been there if you decide to remove them and readjusting/moving them didn't make them any less effective. Would definitely recommend.

My dog can use the stairs safely!
The media could not be loaded. We moved into a new house with smooth wooden stairs, and noticed the dog was having a little trouble with them. Well, on the second day he made it to the top of the longest staircase, slipped, started sliding backwards, then flipped over on his back and fell all the way down the steps! Thankfully, he didn't break any bones, but it's not something we wanted to risk happening again. After blocking all the stairs with boxes (to keep him from trying it again) we immediately started looking for some stair treads and these are the ones we picked. They don't have any adhesive sticky stuff or glue which is perfect because we're renters and don't want to ruin these (brand new) stairs or spend time scraping gunk off later. Instead of adhesive these have an electro-static backing that holds the treads in place. It's amazing how well it works! My husband put these on the stairs in about 15 minutes and now our dog can go up and down the steps with ease & confidence. For us humans it also feels more secure to step on and I can imagine that it will be safer for my kids running up and down in their socks in the winter.

Secure, Easy to Use, Added Safety
Update 1/29/24: these treads are still awesome! I've replaced several individual ones that had worn to the point the carpet begins to separate from the back, or just plain worn from use, but 90% are the same I installed in 2020.These stairs pads are awesome! We moved into a house with a LOT of stairs. Our pup is getting older and less sure-footed, so I wanted to cover the slick wooden stairs with something to give her traction and control. They were so easy to "install". I individually wiped down every stair with a cleaner before installing the pad. I would recommend this step, as a seal may not be as effective with debris between the surface of the stair and the tread. My large dog and all us bipeds have been up and down these stairs without so much as a budge from any of the treads. I've also vaccumed them with an upright vacuum cleaner and they stayed put.Although I got these for the dog, we all appreciate the added comfort, safety, and noise dampening these treads provide. Oh, and the cats love to lay on them! I will recommend them to everyone!

These are awesome!!
I placed these on my basement steps for better traction for my 18 yr old cat as his litter box is in the basement. These also grab the litter after he uses the box so he doesn’t track it upstairs. We have an unfinished basement so this keeps litter and other dirt from coming upstairs. I then vacuumed with my hand held shark vacuum. I’m going to buy another set to have on hand when/if one or two need to be replaced. They also adhere like crazy, but do not leave residue and won’t pull up the paint on the wood steps. Also, they made my ugly painted basement steps look much better. They don’t move at all and we constantly use these stairs. Worth every penny!

Writing this after falling down the stairs
I purchased these for my pup, he has cancer and has been having a lot of trouble getting up and down our hardwood stairs. I clean and individually wiped down each stair before putting down these treads (as other reviewers had suggested they may not stick otherwise). not only did my second (healthy) dog kick these off on her way up the stairs, after I re-cleaned the stairs and applied them I was walking up the stairs to get my toddler from his nap and the tread sent me flying down the stairs. I am just grateful that this happened on my way UP to get the baby and not on my way down with the baby in my arms. They look nice and the gray material feels like a good quality- but unless you are able/willing to glue these down (or prepared to take an unplanned descent down the stairs on your backside) then don't waste your money.
