I would not recommend
I would not recommend this desk. I had read the reviews before ordering and was aware that a number of people had difficulties with assembly. I wanted to give the desk a shot since I’ve assembled many pieces of furniture before. I ran into a number of problems during assembly. 1) Pieces were mislabeled. I needed to use the assembly manual to figure out which pieces where which when assembling the drawers. 2) Needed to assemble drawers by trial and error due to mislabeling. 3) When attempting the attach the legs, the bottom of the desk (where the drawers go) ripped off and pulled the screws and anchors out. 4) Finally got the legs attached and needed to shim one side of the desk (where the drawers goes) with a piece of cardboard so the drawer would fit.Steps 9 and 10 didn’t seem to be right so I had to basically use step 11 to figure out how it went, which definitely did not match the instructions for 9 and 10.Honestly, this desk should have taken an hour to assemble. Instead, it took about 6 hours.I was so disappointed in this product.

Great value, Modifications Recommended
Very nice for a little "home office" in my bedroom. Perfect for my 2-in-one computer. Didn't have much room for a desk in my small room.I assembled this desk alone without any difficulty. However, I am also a retired automotive technician, so I may have an unfair advantage??? Assembly goes much better with a power screwdriver. Lots of screws. I stripped the end of the cheap screwdriver provided within about the first 5 screws. The top fits really tight into the leg assembly. Following the instructions helps a bunch. It says to leave the side leg screws a bit loose to fit the top into the leg assembly, then tighten them once the bolts securing the top to the legs are started in.The finish is a really hard laminate. It is going to be really difficult to scratch it up. It is almost like Formica - except not as thick and heavy. (see photo) I absolutely love it. It is beautiful! For those with children, I believe the finish will hold up very well to things like crayons, markers, small spills, etc.The only bad thing I found is that the screw heads on the drawer tracks do not go in far enough in the holes where the pre-drilled holes are. This causes the rollers on the drawers to catch on the screw heads and makes the drawers to not glide freely. I remedied this by placing the screws into a different hole in the glide assembly. (You must drill your own holes into the wood, the holes in the metal glide are already present) The drawers work flawlessly once I made this simple modification. For anyone having this issue, the screw heads will countersink properly when placed into the ROUND holes in the metal glide. (as opposed to the oblong holes where the pre-drilled holes are located by the manufacturer)Also, there is a "critical review" that states "the bar is too short or the wrong bolts were provided." I thought the same thing for maybe about a minute. Then I realized I had the LEG ASSEMBLIES REVERSED. (Yes, there is a left and a right leg assembly) both of the bars that connect between the legs are the SAME length. If you have the leg assemblies oriented where it looks like you need one short and one long bar, then you have them reversed. Switch them from left to right and that will fix the problem. The instructions are very well done and the illustrations are easy to see. There is not much there if you prefer VERBAL instructions. Mostly only pictures and parts labels. The parts are well labeled. Lots of little labels to remove. I did, however find a small error in the instructions. One illustration part list calls for getting part "D" ready for assembly, then the illustration for that frame shows part "C" being used in the assembly process. The illustration is correct.Other than that, I would rate the instructions/illustrations and parts labeling MUCH higher than most. The frame is very sturdy. The overall (mechanical) design, in my opinion, is well thought out when it comes to both functionality and longevity. I have no doubt that I will enjoy this desk for many years to come.I am very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it for anyone needing a nice, well made, small desk.

Beautifully Defective Desk
Yer several attempts to assemble just the legs of this desk we realized the parts did not adjust to the base and made this a frustrating project only half way through. The wooden part of the desk was not far behind and after three people attempting and a day later. We elected to return the desk for a full refund.

Good table, but hard to assemble and bad instruction manual design
Sturdy table but not the easiest to put together. The manual was poorly made, some of the illustrations were over-simplistic and hard to understand. For example, in the diagram, a piece of the table was illustrated with some of the nail holes missing, while in reality, they were there, so it makes it hard to orient to the right direction. The diagrams were also really small, so it was hard to tell which hole the nail should go through. In addition, 2 screws came where the crosses (where the screwdriver goes into) was flat, so they were not usable. Overall, the table is sturdy and the make is good, not wobbly. The pieces also don't chip easily if you screw into it. Overall not a bad table for the price, but just beware it's not easy to put together.

Very well labeled for assembly
Best labeling for a piece of furniture I've had yet, and with three kids I've put a lot of stuff together. The labelling of all the pieces, as well as the hardware, made putting this together low stress. It was a bit difficult at times since you are putting it together from the top to the bottom - not required but a second person to hold a piece steady while screwing (with a screwdriver and screw - get your minds out of the gutter) will help. The drawers don't open/close very smoothly but it all came together well and we are happy with the purchase. Good looking desk. We paired it with a bench and my daughter is very happy with it.

sturdy desk, assembly a bit challenging.
We bought this desk for my son for his virtual school days. I was trying to find something that matched his bedroom set as much as possible, this matched perfectly. However, there is ups and downs. It took 3 hours to assemble. part time alone and then with help. The manual is not very clear the diagram/pictures are confusing. it definitely keeps you thinking even though all the pieces and parts were labeled perfectly. the finish is nice except there are some small chips on the desk top which is disappointing. Luckily since it is a rustic look we decided to just let it go. It is very sturdy ounce put together and is fully manageable for my 5 year old son and his school work. I guess we will see how it holds up.

More pieces than the Brooklyn Bridge!
This desk was a nightmare to put together. It had multiply screws, bolts and wood pieces that did not all line up the way they were suppose to as per directions. Now I have a 1 drawer desk (that should be 2 drawers) and because the top of desk does not fit into frame properly it's also leans to one side!I wish I could give it ZERO stars!
