Hayward W3SP2307X10 MaxFlo XL Pool Pump, 1 HP

The media could not be loaded. Our last Hayward pump died during hurricane flooding so we were eager to replace it ourselves and ease of install was very important. We went from a single speed pump to this variable speed pump and found:- 10 minute install from our last Hayward pump- Simple variable speed settings (this is not programmable from a phone or tablet, so keep that in mind upon purchase)- Very quite (more than our last one, which our neighbors appreciate)I would recommend this if you are looking for a lower priced variable speed pump that is easy to install!

The new pump replaced an older digital control Hayward pump. The connections were the same, so all I had to do was shim it up 1/2” with vibration pads from Amazon, and wire it up. Programming was easy, after reading the directions, and it works really well. Also, I saved a lot of money not having to buy a direct replacement.

My 7 yr old Jandy croaked so I ordered this online to get it put in quickly. My pool guy connected it after removing the old one. Took him about an hour. Works great. Very impressive. My pool is very deep and has over 30,000 gallons. It is staying really clean. Well worth it. I do occasionally have to check to see if it is running because it is so quiet! lol. I have it set on the energy efficient 3 levels of power setting most of the time. Easy to program with only one button with instructions - so hold on to those.

So far so good. Been in use for a couple of months now. Programming is a little odd but works

I bought Maxflo XE 2.25 HP pump half year ago. Now the push button which is used for programming the speed was not going to pop up and stuck there after I push it down. So the speed is not able to change and keep it slow. The vacuum has no enough power to move on. It is so frustrated as the weather gets warmer, the water will get green very quickly.The pump is not cheap and will not work just because the push button non functioning? They should provide the part to replace. However the seller was contact and no response.

It did not take me, an average DIYer, long to install this pump, and it has been running great for several months. I saved at least $2k doing the installation myself. Plus, I was able to upgrade my mount, electrical, and plumbing.

This pump replaced a single speed hayward 2.0HP pump. Definitely worth the price. It is much more efficient and at lower speeds also much quieter. I should have upgraded sooner. It’s also lighter and accommodating of 1.5” and 2.0” PVC in a single fitting.

I purchased this 1hp pump to replace the 1hp Pentair Challenger that I have been using for 20 years. The performance information is not readily available via an Amazon link I had to source it externally. The performance information from Hayward indicates that this pump is equivalent to the Pentair. This is untrue. With a freshly cleaned D.E. filter I was vacuuming my pool with a typical 13" wide pickup attachment and the pattern of the cleaned area was only 1-1/2" wide. There is just insufficient suction to get the job done. It takes an excessive amount of time to clean the pool bottom. You have to track back and forth extremely slow while moving laterally about two inches. It's ridiculous.
