The arrangement of the book is absolutely incoherent. The more you dealt with in the latter chapters, the more confused you will be. It leaves me with the feeling that the authors is just in for the money. There are much better Java books; just look it up on Amazon.com. Some excellent ones like Effective Java or for beginners, Java - a beginners guide or Head First Java Script. Murach on Java is also fantastic. All these books cost much less too. By the way, there are hardly any answers provided the the exercises.

Wonderful book! Maria Litvin is extremely intelligent and this book is perfect for AP CSA. Great examples and explanations.

Just started using the book and so far I love it. I don't know why Amazon doesn't sell the electronic version of the book. That would be nice.
