Must read book by all bridge players
Even though I have played bridge for many years and generally know the conventions discussed in this book, I have learned a lot more, especially the finer points of responding by both the bidder and the responder. I loaned it to my partner, and we had a chance to use the 2 club convention in one of our hands and reached the optimal contract. This is a step by step explanation of the intricacy of bidding when you have a really good hand in order to reach the best contracts. I have read all three of these books, and they are absolutely indispensable for all bridge players. Now I am looking forward to a fourth book by Audrey Grant that would discuss more advanced topics, such as cue bid, etc. As far as I know, she has not written such a book yet. Although there are other similar books on the market, but her explanations and instructions would be much better judging from the 3 I have read.

Decent book - good buy - but plan to work thru ALL the examples
I really really liked Audrey Grant’s 2/1 book - and this is written using the same methods. I like it a lot. Like any bridge book, you only get out what you put in - so plan to work thru every single example - maybe even twice.

Great Book for beginner or senior player as reference. Coded cards are not available.
Another excellent learning tool. Book is well done. The Book makes reference to a companion deck of coded cards which is apparently not and was never available. A downer, as Basics 1 & 2 have available cards. Customers should be advised that Bridge Basics 3 does not have companion coded playing cards as with 1 & 2.
